How amazing is this! This gorgeous instrument was designed and built in the 1920's. A complete orchestra with real instruments being controlled by a console and a master of the console with auch precission. They sis not have any computers to blend and create sounds. This was all done with air pipes, relays, miles of wire and so many switcws and electrical controls. A true genious of the times designed all of these instruments. Aren't we so lucky that people have taken such an interest in rebuilding and preserving these amazing amd entertaining machines Tye organistes blended the sounds together and made the instruments sound so mighty. I have been a pipe organ fan for many years and am so happy that so many popele have gotten into these wonderful iachines. Almost 100 year old machines and still working like new with the help of so many skilled technicans. Just Amazing, Brad Maier,Long Island New York A big Thank You!,!,

Thanks for re-editing the original video; I missed some of the concert when it was streamed live because of the poor KZbin feed, so it's nice to finally see it in its entirety. I think KZbin is a great shop window for the museum, as it gives it an international profile, so the time taken by the team to present a polished record of the event is well worth it. I enjoyed the variety of this concert, with the different pieces of music selected by the two Chris's and Joanne. I think Chris Powell's style really suits this Wurlitzer. The stand-out pieces for me were Chris Powell's Cole Porter Selection and the Toccata from Widor's 5th Symphony in F. The latter piece shows how well the museum's Wurlitzer sounds when played "straight" and is especially impressive for an instrument with just 12 ranks of pipes. I heard the superb Carol Williams play the Toccata on this instrument many years ago and it's all credit to the maintenance team that the organ is still capable of handling such a complex piece of music being played on it.

Great... on the Wurlitzer every pipe is like wine (apologies to Franz Lehar). The history book is great too.
