Musical Protest for School Shootings

WSYX 6 (Columbus, Ohio) coverage of a musical protest that occurred at the statehouse in April 2018 in response to the issue of school shootings in the United States. Almost fifty musicians from multiple colleges and communities convened to play Frank Ticheli's "An American Elegy". The piece, which was originally written for Columbine, was performed 27 times - once for every fatal, active-shooter school shooting since Columbine. The performance took around 5 1/2 hours.
