Dude would you be able to learn one of my pieces? Mine aren't too difficult, I'd scale them to be around a Chopin Grand Valse or Nocturne at most (edit, I could even say an etude, but I don't wanna over exaggerate, one of my pieces were said to be grade 7-8 but to compare it to my grandest composition, Introduction and La Caprice, which is at least 3 times as difficult and as long as the original Etude which was considered grade 7-8, I would consider The Caprice to be much more difficult)

The Fox it’s definitely not plagiarized. I just went to listen and while Batikan may have been inspired a bit by The Last Stand, they aren’t similar enough to be plagiarism. While songs like “Somebody you Loved” (Lewis Capaldi) are inspired by other songs like “Dragostei din tei” (O-Zone), those examples aren’t plagiarized nearly to the extent that people call out “Ice Ice Baby” (Vanilla Ice) for doing with “Under Pressure” (Queen).
@jh82874 жыл бұрын
@The Fox Idk dude, the main part is clearly inspired, but I think the "added value" by this composer is huge enough to call it it's own composition instead of plagiarism. Howerever, I'd at least say he probably should state the source of inspiration, because the main part is just obviously similar. Sounds fair to me.
@brycebeauparlant20194 жыл бұрын
@The Fox definitely very similar to Sabaton- The Last Stand. It is also very similar to Avantasia- Sign of the Cross. Both are good songs and some parts of this guy's song are basically copied from The Last Stand and Sign of the Cross, but might not be considered plagiarism.

A hero struggles with mental illness and tries to find peace with himself and his life while managing to save others

Judging by the title, the image in my head through the piece was first, wishing a loved one good luck as they go on a journey. You slowly realize that's it's hard being without them, and as the music gets sadder, you sit in your arched window, longing for them and waiting for them to come back. As the song reaches its end, you see them coming back, and you run out to hold them in your arms as you've missed them so much.

My opinion on each piece: First piece- Very strong and is able to invoke that feeling of a battle march (which I personally like). There was some awkward transitions, but that gets easier over time. Second piece- Has the best storytelling from the three pieces as you could feel as you were apart of the journey. Third piece- In my opinion this was the most well-polished of the three. It was a great way to show how simplicity can be better than filling a song with wild sections. Overall, they are all great and hopefully they continue their pursuit for making music

I feel like the first piece, "Arrival of the Hero", could be described as a musical recreation of the story of a hero. It has the promised heroic feeling all throughout: as it begins, there's a sense of unfamiliar tension, much like the call to adventure; as the piece progresses, it introduces new feelings, portraying a little fear, sadness and overall "tough times" vibes; nearing the close of the piece, it returns to the tension of the introduction, but it's familiar now, as if the hero has reached the end of their journey and the changes the story brought have been realized. imo

Thank you so much Lionel. This really means a lot to me. You're the best! I really like how you've managed to interpret my piece in a way which is absolutely different from he ideal I had in my head whilst composing this. Nevertheless, with your minimal use of the pedal, your different way of making different notes stick out, focusing on some inner voices I couldn't appreciate myself before this and playing around with the articulations, you've brought this piece to greater heights than I could have ever imagined. And I composed this! I grew up in a household which was mostly without music. My childhood was spent in silence. When I first started composing, I was virtually without a clue what sounded great, what did not and what music has to sound like. And I haven't had friends to ask either. But the ability to play God within the range of my sheets always delighted me. My mom was very Christian. According to her, we all had to bow down in front of God. I always wanted to know what feeling like God must be like. And enslaving instruments upon instruments in FL Studio was one of my only two ways for me to experience this. My emotions and me weren't satisfied. I wanted to get better. I wanted to develop. I wanted something to be proud of. Yet - Whenever I listened to the developed, experienced and distinctive styles from other musicians, I was humbled. This video has once again shown me, that I'm far behind Bat, who could humble half of Hollywood and Jess of whom we can clearly hear a very deep understanding of theory, emotions and where he comes from. The classics. That was no surprise. However, up until now, I never fully experienced how much the right pianist can evolve a piece. This has been a completely different feeling from only listening the computer doing it. I could write notes, but in the end, I wasn't the one in control. I wasn't God. More than half of the project depended on you. And you did a way better job than I could ever have imagined. It was awesome. Thank you for this valuable lesson and experience. I'll put this to good use in the next three movements. You're the best!

Which one is yours? They're all beautiful, but the second one was on a whole different level honestly. If it was yours, then yku definitely have a bright future as a composer
@Vaylon.4 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, your composition was much better, and more original than Batikan's : his composition was pretty much straight up power metal (Sabaton, Galneryus,...) whereas yours felt much less inspired by something, more like it all came from you. Some parts sound a bit Russian, some parts sound like a Ravel composition (especially Gaspard de la Nuit). It sounds like Jess has much more experience composing than you do, and as such, you also have a lot more room to improve, where they would be a bit more set in their style, you still have much to explore. Go on composing great music !

All three together are like telling a story about a hero trained his whole life for a greater purpose...when the time has finally come he only experienced betrayal, hatred and the cruelty of humankind (also towards him, even when he saved someone they looked at him as if he was the monster) he just wanted to help and got spit on, seeing his beloved ones and companions dying in front of him on his journey to save everybody still nobody appreciates him turning his soul and heart darker and darker until he breaks, losing all hope, going mad on a rampage killing off a peaceful village And then, when the last victim of his rampage a small and weak girl with a disease wich took her ability to walk, looked in his face..that painful empty stare of suffering towards her with red teared up eyes She realized that this person was hurt, and calm as she is because her whole life she hasn't feared death once, sometimes even wished for it to not be a burden to anyone anymore smiled at him and said: "Everything is ok now, there is nobody left to hurt you anymore..." - pulling the blanket to the side to reveal her crippled unused legs - "...I won't and can't even if I wanted to" she followed up with a gentle smile towards him (The third piece starts) Blocked by the last bit of humanity inside him the hero stops in his movement to strike her down he tears up blurring his vision, one step away from a gentleness he never had experienced - or has he just forgotten? "WHY?!" he shouted at the ceiling everything turns black... Blood is spreading all over the floor... He had slain himself, dropping down on her lap, fading, into a warm and gentle emptiness lit by lone fire... Edit: whooo sry this took me on a journey, sry for my bad english though (if somebody read that crap xD) Edit 2: oh wow, didn't expect so much positive responses I literally was half asleep and was somehow inspired by the pieces but thank you all

So I’ve seen a lot of interpretations for “At the Beginning” which is an awesome piece btw, so here’s my take on it: I focused on the section names, and I interpreted it as the process of dying, specifically by suffocation or drowning. The first section is called “Numb” which I like to imagine as something catastrophic happening, perhaps the person’s safety equipment has failed and they are stuck somewhere. The gravity of the situation hasn’t kicked in yet, so all they just numbly think, “oh, that happened”. Then in the next part, “Slow Realization”, the music picks up in emotion and pace, as the person realizes that they are going to die unless they do something, the slowly go into that panic mode that I’m sure most of us have experienced. The feeling of helplessness goes quickly, as evidenced by the briefness of this section, and the person begins to attempt to do something. In the section “A Long March Begins”, I imagine someone trying to swim up the surface with rapidly failing diving equipment, or someone beginning to dig at the rocks that seal them underground while only having a small air pocket. The process for both is long and grueling, but they have no choice, they will die otherwise. Then there’s the section “Gasping for Air”, which I interpreted in the literal sense. The person has run out of air, suffocation or drowning occurs, and their limbs start twitching due to the lack of oxygen. The music also starts getting erratic to reflect this. Then the person’s movements get sluggish, their body has gone on without oxygen for several minutes now, and they start to wonder if they will ever get out. This is the section called “Stress”. However, the brain, when oxygen starved, will start to produce endorphins and hallucinate, and the effects are similar to getting high. The person experiences this state of mind in “Explosion of Manic Euphoria”. They know they are going to die, they’ve fully realized it now, if they could, they may even giggle at the absurdity of the situation. The final parts, “Keeping Together” and “Falling Apart” are the moments after the altered state of mind. The high is over, and the person is desperately trying to grasp their fleeting consciousness. At their final moments, they fall apart, at mind and body as more and more cells shit down due to no oxygen. They give one final spasm, and die Edit: spelling mistakes

The meanings for me (I just feel like sharing. Sorry 😅) First one : Starts as a powerful hero, finally finding someone they care a lot and being through a lot. The biggest change is where everything starts going downhill. The part where you say it's your fave, the hero starts going back, joined by the person they care. Second one : Simple. Abused, finally realized that's wrong and starts going for vengeance. Planning, executing, everything. 'Gasping' is when they realize that they are wrong and almost got caught. 'Stress' is where they don't want to get caught at all. And then they still do it until they got caught in the end, still not having the ending they have which is why it feels like it's not finished in the end. Third one : It's just beautiful for me. This one is a bit hard. But it feels like somebody living peacefully but at the end, they need to say goodbye to something they care so much. Yeah, I just- it just feels like this for me.

At the Beginning, then Arrival of the Hero, and last The Arched Window as the sound track.(Story time) At the Beginning music:World is in terror,main charactors are dying all around along with civilians/bystanders when the world turns into havoc.Shelters are opened and the animals instantly become managed aswell as wild animals become deformed. Plant life starts to change chemically into carnivores that still act as normal plants but slowly eat at anything organic along with their own parts. Everything is getting cloudy with a smoke that is a red tint due to the "new world". The Arrival of the Hero:Then the hero fights off the armies of beasts and inanimate objects somehow transforming to their will breaking the laws of physics. (Music gets slower)The hero starts to tire, the end is near,the hero begins to give up. The hero....dies. Something happened. Everything had calmed. A brief stop to havoc and pain. The others slowly realized what had happened. The smoke cleared.(music picks back up) The others could no longer take it. Them and everyone near performed the ritual. The beasts started to weaken. The hero came back stronger than before. He stops their rain with one final blast. The hero is weak but has to see what has happened to the others. The Arched Window: He finds his companions.... No his freinds... Dead. He checks everyone else around Them... Dead, all of them,dead, for what? To win the war? Theirs no reason to win if you die anyway. He helps society get started rebuilding. He makes everything back to normal...well...as normal as they can get. In the end, he morned his freinds to the grave. To be lost in history forever. The end.

The first piece is when the villain and the hero are having their epic fight, the second piece is the villain is having their flashbacks or when the villain has the upper hand in the epic fight, and the third piece is the ending music where the villain finally destroys the hero and is about to take over the world, then the hero comes back alive and finishes the villain off ending it with a Big Bang, the villain is seen slowly dying and is asked by the hero why they decided to become a villain. The villain tells their backstory and the movie slow fades into darkness. The End
@daddyching87674 жыл бұрын
Jimin’s Jams I thought of it kind of differently. The first one is a boy with a troubled and abusive family and he is sleeping. In his dreams he is a hero and fights off the bad guys "his family". He kills all of them and is praised as a hero. In his mind he doesn't think this is wrong. He has many other dreams like this one where he is a "hero". The second piece is the boy and how he became a villain. We see him start a fire and burning his house down with his family inside, he thinks he is a hero. He is put into an insane asluym and he doesn't understand why. (He is like 13-16 now). He is released and then starts to find and burn people and homes. He starts fires everywhere. And kills hundreds of people. He isn't caught because he is brilliant and smart. Anyway he burns down the home of a "superhero". And his mom is inside. This superhero isn't a superhero yet but he will become one because of this man. Like one year later the hero finds the man and fight. The man loses. But then a plot twist. The boy wakes up and it was all a dream. That is when the third peace starts to play. The boy is now in his 20's and is about to head off for college in a few months. Then one day a man burns down his home with his mom inside the boy wasn't there he was at work. Then the story repeats itself. This story is a very confusing concept that f*cks with your mind. You have to read it closely to understand.

The boy that had the dreams is the hero and the villain. The boy when he was like 10 had dreams that he was a "hero" and killed and burned down houses. He burned down a house with someone's mom inside. The moms son becomes a hero to find and fight this guy. The boy wakes up and lives the rest of his life normally. In 10 or so years he is living with his mom and one day a man burns down her house but he wasn't in it. He becomes a superhero and kills the man. That's kind of an explanation lol. It's hard to explain. Basically the dreams he had as a boy were real. But the difference is that in the dreams he was the man that was burning stuff down. But in reality he is the one that became the superhero.

I like how this all connects like some huge overarching story, the way I see it, there's a whole bunch of ways to interpret the story the pieces supposedly tell, but, here's how I interpret it: *Arrival of the Hero:* Chaos ensues, darkness looms over the world like a dark cloud. All hope seems lost, until one day, a mighty hero and his companions rise from the shadows and fight off the evil beings that used to rule over the human race with dread. Their great battle ended in success, and as the hero landed the final blow, it was all over. Light once again shined over the land, and evil was halted, for now. *Am Anfang:* It's been years since the great battle, and the hero and his party are still going strong, working to eradicate evil for good. Until, the hero starts to see visions. Visions of a grim, dark future. Seeing all his friends dead, lying in his arms, with the face of grief and fear permanently placed on their face, catching a glimpse beforehand of the beast that slaughtered them. He starts to panic, and slowly fear consumes him. Fear begins to take hold, his friends start to worry, as he slowly starts to lose himself in the process. He lashes out at anything, and is engulfed in rage when doubted. Over time, this starts to get the better of him, as he starts to do questionable things. At this point, he's killed and never spared once. He's killed everyone and anyone who's gotten in his way, which made his friends fear him and paralyze with terror when catching sight of him. All for the sake of, "eradicating evil". One day, they, after a long search, found the beast's location. There he was fueled with more rage than he ever was, ready to strike the beast down at all costs. He killed everything with no second thoughts, and when they finally got there, his friends confronted him. They said he was changing, and it was true. He was now a shell of himself. They tried to convince him to take a break, and breathe. But the hero took this as them trying to slow him down and to stop him. Blinded by anger, he thought his friends were on the wrong side of the coin, and needed "correction". And so, he killed them, every last one of them, and in the end, reality hit him like a gun. *The Arched Window:* In the end, he killed them. It was him. He was the beast. Tears started to flood his face. He wailed, and sobbed on the ground. He knew he would never be able to undo the consequences of his actions. But, then, he realized, he wasn't the beast. And so, he decided, to fight the beast no matter what, on his own. To redeem himself, and do his companions justice. He charged into the dungeon, and once he got to the all-great beast, he was bleeding everywhere. Nonetheless, he gave it all he got. He got up, no matter how hard he was hit. In the end he was exhausted, and his skin was pale, his adrenaline was starting to die down. He was bare bones, unarmed, and vulnerable, yet he felt comforted. He's finally redeemed himself. He was coughing and dying, but he was smiling. He wanted to finish it all, right then and there. And so, he leaped over the beast, unsheathed his blade, drove all his remaining life power into it, and with one last strike, beheaded the best and so resulted in both of their deaths. The hero's death was a peaceful one. His death to him, didn't feel like complete agony, he was fading from reality, but was calm, knowing he has fulfilled his purpose. And he passed. That was a bit too long, but if you're reading this, then you're cool

Arrival of a Hero feels very inspired from Sabaton's Prima Victoria, not a negative in my book tho! Am Anfang was just fun to listen to. Certainly something worth dancing to even as it transitioned. I just thought of something about “the arched window” when you said that it was like yearning for something that you can no longer touch, I thought of a person, who took one of their loved ones for granted, never appreciating their love and efforts to get close to them, but even so, the other person still did all that he could do to get close to the person because they loved them unconditionally, but as they say, good people die first (or idk I forgot the exact words,), and they passed on due to maybe an accident like a car crash, anything that was sudden. And when the person learnt about it, they were shocked, and that was the moment they actually thought of what they had done and what they hadn’t done. Regret,and grief flood them and they keep crying,and keep thinking of what happened between them,and what he wanted to happen. And at their open casket viewing there they are, lying peacefully on a soft, blinding white cloth. A small smile appearing on their lips. And they just stare at them through the “arched window” yearning for them even though they know they couldn’t come back, it still didn’t stop their heart to cry for them. So there he stood, sobbing like a lunatic, their relatives staring at them, but he didn’t care, all he was thinking about was the person through their unbreakable “arched window” (Holy crud this was bad but eh, I just wanted to share what my brain thought)
