We have a local radio station called Radio 10, every saturday night from 20:00 until 24:00 they air a show called Sven's Classix. Yesterday they played this remix. I thought, I know this song...where do I know this song from...and then I remembered. Back in the day, I went every weekend to a club called La Diligence. The resident DJ played this song each night, as starter and at closing time. Love this song. Brings back so many good memories from the 90s.

I'll probably listen to this song till the day I die. It's been a part of my life since first hearing it at Pacific Street in Montrose. Just the fact the producers decided to leave the whole lyrics intact, should be applauded. That's what makes this remix of To Deserve You, a masterpiece. I love it!!! Loved it back in 95', and will continue to love it. It's the lyrics that made me stop dancing and listen to the song and it's meaning. The very next day went to get my copy. Haven't stopped listening to this song for 30 years. Everyone I introduce the song to loves it, it's the lyrics.

I love all the add-ins, too, especially here: "...Yes, you tell me this And I want to believe that it's true *** How I want, how I want to deserve you..." ***Bette sings "I want to believe everything", and for some reason that just gets me every time. I also love "...I'm weak and I fight like a fool..." And, "...And if I've caught our love in a grip Just tell me and I'll shake it loose..." I guess in every song that travels through time with you, there are hooks that keep it relevant and important, from the the first time you hear it. This song is a great example of that kind of "soundtrack of my life" song.

YES! Also check out the "Direct Hits" mix of this version that is here on KZbin. It's ver similar but structured slightly different. They used to play that version all the time here in Toronto back in 95/96 as it was built to mix another song in and out of this track. Classic stuff.

Incredible remix. I was part of the mid 90s deep progressive and tribal scene in New York, dominated by Vasquez, Tenaglia, and Rauhofer remixes. But this 'old school' mix stood out and was beloved ...something about it still feels like the ultimate winter cozy by the fire house track. Stands the test of time!

I DO agree! my ex used to make me sing it for him..this was our song....he was french from quebec, so he didn't understand all the lyrics....he heard he original version, but loved the fast energy mix. "said it's still a love song, even though ur dancing fast"... I miss him!
