The band playing is A Studio. This is their song. Dimash sang it as an homage to their passed away lead singer. The man standing and clapping at the end is billionaire/maestro/composer Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to work with Dimash.

Hello, I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

that sound he makes that sounds sort of like vibrato is called a trill i believe. You hear it quite frequently in middle eastern ethnic music a bit and since he is from Kazakhstan its something he is familiar with

Welcome‼️👏👏🤩🎈🤸♂️🎶🎤❤️🤩🎉 Enjoy the rabbit hole🐰🕳️that is Dimash❗ You are in for such a treat! Dimash's mother is a renowned Opera singer and his father is a traditional folk art singer that is also well known. Dimash brings their teachings into most of his songs. He practices 2-3 hours every day and he goes to a pool 🏊♂️to help his breath control. He is from Kazakhstan, one of the former 15 republics that was part of the former USSR. He speaks Russian perfectly He has a younger brother and sister. Almost all of Dimash's songs are sung live in front of a live audience with the exception of a few music videos which is the opposite if how most American artists are seen which are in videos and hearing them on the radio. Dimash has his own production company and does not want to have to join one in America to be able to be on the radio and get his music played. He instead said "he is going to do more concerts in America." How CLEAN he is in his transitions and going up and down in range, perfect pitches is amazing and once in a lifetime performance feelings for every single one of his songs‼️🎶🎤🌹🌹🤩👏👏💜🎉 *The song at the end of "Sinful passion"is a form of traditional throat singing like in the video below:* kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIjPemVqp9uSlck&ab_channel=MartinRybka He has a catalog of over 170 songs.🎶 Enjoy‼️🤩

The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.) The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath.
@savmid93082 жыл бұрын
Sinful Passion was originally performed in 1998 by a Russian-based Kazakh band called A-Studio. They accompanied Dimash for this performance and at the end of the video, he humbly thanked them. The gentleman in white who gave him a standing ovation is Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian composer, who's written several amazing songs for Dimash. The interesting vocal style Dimash used towards the end of the song is called a vocal trill which is a classical technique and is the least familiar of the vocal manoeuvers. A singer with an even, rapid trill is a rarity. The director of the Rossini Opera Festival, Alberto Zedda has opined in an interview that the "widespread technical deficiency", the inability to trill, is a source of "frustration and anguish". Dimash modified the traditional vocal trill by adding a Yakuti yodel technique as well as a maqam which is a system of oriental scales, melodic phrases and ornamentation techniques. He did it all to perfection. It’s wonderful that he’s introduced these classical and oriental techniques into a pop song for the benefit of the non-classical world.

This was another very enjoyable reaction and analysis. This was his 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park. The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and a member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts. Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh KZbinr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. The final run is 21.73 seconds on one breath. This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He invited Dimash to perform and it was this performance that prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Stranger, and Ave Maria, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him. There is another performance of this song of one of his more recent concerts. It is as good or better because you can hear certain parts clearer and the camera stays on him most of the time. Here is the link, in case you want to watch it. He is consistently perfect. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHvHg2iXfd92l68

it is a traditional mongolian/turkish yodel type of sound. i've heard it many times over the years in period themed movies and shows. it just shows di's insane talent and practice. 3 hours a day for the past 23ish years.....no wonder he can do just about everything. he's always pushing himself to learn new things all the time, and not just in music styles or techniques, but in everything he does, not wanting to be stuck in a box. and also the fact that he shares that love of music with the world, and especially the children. he is an amazing person and i hope that he achieves all that he desires.

What you call the jodelle effect is called - throat singing is characteristic of the culture of a number of Turkic peoples living on the territory of Russia (Altai, Bashkiria, Khakassia, Sakha (Yakutia), as well as in the homeland of Dimash in Kazakhstan. The essence of throat singing is that the singer sings two sounds at the same time: the main one and the overtone to it.

The strange vibrato is called goat trill in western music and different names in other countries. It seems to be more common in more Islamic countries. I've heard it described as yodeling with the top removed. You kind of bounce back down off the transition instead of punching through.

Wow, Dimash is the song/music. He literally breathes ever word/note to life. He even emotes the mood of the song before he even says a word; just by his stage presence. He commands the stage from beginning to end, he makes you feel with his body language; especially eyes and hands. Changes his musical genres seemlessly throughout his songs is what also makes him unique, who else does that? He could be the whole movie soundtrack with his amazing vocal range!
