Good GAWD the industry has changed since I started as a pro twenty years ago. I'm slowly losing my ability to keep up with the promotional end. It just feels too dang complicated. We used to hand out physical flyers and sell actual CDs. We've traded an incredibly simple format for a zillion little complicated processes. Only young people truly have a chance in the modern age. The previous generations get almost zero attention because they don't mess with all this stuff or know how.

Haha so happy to hear it's that helpful :) For the messaging yeah it's definitely awkward at first but that's why I would start by commenting on their posts. Then at some point you can pop in the DMs, showing interest in what they do, starting a conversation about music and see where it goes. It does take time BEFORE to create relationships on social media :) Hope that helps!

Bruh stop trying to pedal streaming to.people. If your not doing it for a living cool. But Spotify and other streaming services provide NOTHING to artists but a place for people to IGNORE your music , your brand and have streaming services POLICE your music. You spend a crap load of time to market your music just for it sir in the matrix and or get some streams that DSPs will find a way to say your plays were AI/BOT generated plays and demonize your already failing channel. Stop messing with Streaming services if you have NO intentions of touring and making music s fulltime occupation. Your saturating the market and keeping people are legitimate Musicans from eating. REAL TALK!!
