Fact: The whole performance during the SEA Games Opening Ceremony shows the history of the Philippines through the dance and music genres. From the Sarimanok (Dancing Rooster) to Singkil (King and Queens dancing with bamboo sticks) to Spanish Colonization (Lajota) to Modern Day (KJ Inigo and Elmo performance). Something like that. There sure is a lot more to be included in the history but maybe that was the best way for them to simplify the whole sequence of changes in history up to date.

The flag of the Philippines has 3 stars that represent Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The 8 rays of the sun, represents the provinces that were conquered (correct me if i am wrong, fellow Filipinos) during the time of the wars. If blue is at the upper part of the flag, then it means that everything is at peace. If the red part is at the upper part, then there is war. 😉

Holding the house is called in the philippines “Bayanihan”
@queenbeebam33755 жыл бұрын
“Bayanihan” is part of the Filipino culture. During the time when most people only live in “nipa huts” or “bahay kubo”, neighbors and other village people carry the house altogether when it needs to be transferred somewhere else within the town or the village. Those who volunteer for this activity, don’t expect anything in return from the homeowners. Bayanihan came from the rootword “Bayani” which means “hero”.
