This performance is without doubt the best live performance I’ve ever seen by any artist,to say that this girl is special is an understatement,forget your mainstream that churn out the same old cliches and lyrics this is on another level,more than 20 thousand people sat in awe of what they were seeing, there silence was defining I have no hesitation of putting her in my top 3 performer’s ,singers songwriter’s of all time.she simply is the essence of what the art of music should be all about no wonder Bob Dylan and Lenard Cohan both great wordsmiths were two of the people who influenced her as a child her catalog of songs written by her from the age of 9 is staggering only one word for her GENIUS ❤️

This preformance was in Telenor Arena, and it has a concert capasity of 23.000, sport capasity of 15.000. The Nobel Peace Prize concert are a bit special, there are some table seating, and some extra security issues with all the VIP's... So I guess a bit reduced capasity. The show was sent to over 100 countrys. For yourself, check out the backstage intervju 🙂🇧🇻

It's one of the best one's I've seen live from her Murder (5,4,3,2,1) and Runaway at the Nobel Peace Prize was honestly the best live performance, I've actually enjoy re-watching over and over again, and still get chills. Heard this is a vivid Imagination, made up characters from Aurora's mind, in which she tends to write songs about them, like in this song as well.. I love how she expressed her emotions with her hand movements (Gestures) while also telling the story.. Her eyes, so indescribably, I was so lost when she looked so lost.. Eye's cannot lie right.. 🥺!!

I remember as a little kid listening to something Stevie Wonder that my mother had on the stereo. She'd turned to me and said, "Boy, why're you crying"? And I'd answered, "I wish I could give him my eyes so that he could see". My mom just came over and started hugging me. As Aurora was singing this I felt like I should be "holding" her. Her voice just pulls you into this song. And, as is usual with me, the tears start flowing. You'd think that at 63 yrs I'd be a bit more... I don't know what the word is that I'm looking for. But LESS sensitive, maybe? Ayway, this is truly a HEART-WRENCHING song!!!!

63 years old here too, and I've cried more in the last 6 months listening to her music than in the previous 63 years of my life. She just hits something emotional deep inside that I've never had another artist do. Pretty amazing.

I’m up there in age as well and I’ve come to the conclusion that the older we get the more clarity we have regarding life and emotions are more easily accessible because we’ve seen and experienced so much. We should wear it as a badge of honor and experience. Life is both beautiful and tragic on any given day but as I get older I CHOOSE to see the beauty because every day I get is so precious. I think you both can relate. ❤️

@@StrateleStudios The most emotionally devastating of all of Aurora's songs, for me at least, is one called Little Boy in the Grass. On July 22, 2011 a single terrorist killed 77 people in Norway, 69 of which were teenagers attending a summer camp. One of those teenagers was a close friend of Aurora's. She was 15 at the time. Four years later she posted this on Facebook: "Today is the day. 22nd of July. It's been 4 years since you left us. Since all of you left us. how time flies, we even find ourselves forgetting for a moment, nearly moving on.. Not because we forget you, but because we remember to live. But know that I will always remember you, and everyone that went down with you. I will think of love, and send love to those who needs it this today. I hope no one is crying alone. Rest in peace my friend. You are free now. "Little boy in the grass". I can't listen to the song without crying my eyes out. There's a beautiful version of it (AURORA - Little Boy In The Grass | Mahogany Session) with Aurora on a small boat with just her guitar player.

Another respectful, accurate reaction Jeff. This is how pure talent transforms a petite young lady into a mesmerizing, gigantic presence in a huge arena. Aurora, 19 at the time, was so nervous before her performance at this prestigious event, that she took a pine cone with her to the press conference to help her to stay grounded (there is a clip of this here on KZbin). The guitarist is Odd Martin Skalnes, a seasoned performer in his own right, a part of Aurora's band for a few years, a co-writer of songs with her and producer (with Magnus Skylstad, Aurora's drummer) of her first album and some of the singles. He always provided stellar support in Aurora's performances. PS You mention in the bio on your channel page that you played with ELO (among many others). They are one of my favourite bands and I saw them play in Adelaide, here in South Australia in February 1978.
@StrateleStudios2 жыл бұрын

@@StrateleStudios A great item to have on your CV as well. The only down side of the show we went to was that it was at a football stadium and we were in the middle of the bottom tier of the grandstand, so with a tier above us we didn't get the full impact of the laser show. The band were great though. I always feel Jeff Lynne doesn't get enough credit for his song writing, he seems to be one of those who is a "song writers song writer" fully appreciated by his peers but perhaps not enough by music lovers in general. Of course he is a fantastic producer as well. They have a lot of great songs but "Rock Aria' will always be my absolute favourite (thanks to my mother I love classical music, so ELO covered the range of my favourite instruments), no other group has a song like it. I look forward to your next Aurora reaction Jeff, keep the great music flag flying.

I've been watching your Aurora reactions before this one. I just felt I needed to comment tonight.....or just wanted to.... I grew up on music. I'm almost 52 and my Mom and Dad were almost like Donnie and Marie......he was a little bit country and she was a little bit rock and roll.....Just a quick list of my earliest music memories with their music and some of the few they bought me.....Peter, Paul and Mary, Elton John (Captain Fantastic album and my Mom's Philadelphia Freedom 45)....I more favored my Mom's tastes.....Buddy Holly, Fats Domino, Motown.....even a 45 of ? and the Mysterians (96 tears)...... Dad was Arkansas, Oak Ridge Boys, Dolly and Kenny, Tanya Tucker, Crystal Gale....... This is just the very tip, the very beginning......now just to throw all I can remember out......I got into Disco and Funk, had the double 78 of Saturday Night Fever, loved 70's Soft Rock, though I can't remember hardly any of the names of the performers or songs....Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty, Jackson Browne.....Somebody's Baby.....there are SO MANY more songs like these two I loved/love.......my memory is pretty poor...... Once again....just the tip.......my brother, 4 years older than me......I remember sneaking into his room to grab these records (of course there were more, but .......my memory): Van Halen's Women and Children First, Led Zeppelin's In Through the Out Door, these last two are in my top favs still.......Cheap Trick's "Live at Budakon"....wow.....and my ever first intro to Aerosmith..."Toys in the Attic"......I so love this album........right before this I was into what we called then New Wave or New Romantic.......The Motels, Psychedelic Furs, Flock of Seagulls, Devo, B'52's, The Human League....so much more! Duran Duran........J Geils band..... I then went toward the Hard Rock/80's Metal......Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Motley Crue......this list could literally go on forever......I love so much different music.....but Heavy Metal is probably the most listened to. I even eventually got into Thrash and/or Speed Metal and even Death Metal........ Point here, if you're still here, is I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MUSIC.... I was already what I consider a music aficionado...but then When I was 10 years old I lost both my parents in a car accident that both my brother and I were in....we survived they did not.......I only share this b/c I was ALREADY HUGELY into music before this, but "THIS" changed 'many' things in my life. Imagine if you will (Rod Serling/Twilight Zone reference)......Oh my GOD another GREAT SONG by another band who also sang Radar Love.....Golden Earring........ Anyways, I'm rambling.........Music was already a part of me deeply and this event pretty much made music and I 'One"......a great song by Metallica btw........ So, NOW AURORA.......I found her just over 2 years ago, I can't say enough or use the proper words, the only thing I can say is that I have heard A LOT OF AMAZING VOCALISTS..........MANY.........Aurora is TRULY One of a Kind!!!!!! So, I found her by listening to a female artist name Maria Franz who played with what I can only call a truly traditional Viking band called Heilung.......you should DEFINITELY check out this live concert they did......A-MAZING!!!!! So, while trying to find more of her and them, I came across another "traditional" Viking band called Wardruna, the song was called "Helvegen".........You may have already reacted to this..........if not, you should. And, this is where I first found Aurora....she performed just a few lines alone, and her voice was SO clear and SO Angelic, I thought this couldn't be realy. And, though Maria is WONDERFUL of her own right.......something about Aurora REALLY REALLY caught me..........she captured me, I was placed under some kind of spell.....spellbound, entranced, enthralled.......utterly spellbound, utterly enchanted and mesmerized.......... Over 2 years later, I still am......... "SHE IS" Magical......She IS Otherworldly......... Before I go, I wish to say I really LOVE your reactions! I have SO many suggestions and, as I am sure, many other people have given many suggestions too. I know you've done Runaway.....I think.......(from this same concert)....but there is a special version.......don't you love how Aurora can take ONE song and pretty much every time she performs it live, it is different.....very much the same song, but also different. There is an acoustic version she did during the Covid lockdown where she has her new guitarist with glasses (I hate myself for not knowing his name) and her, imo, BEST backup singer Silja....and I think they are actually doing it at her home........it is PHENOMINAL!!! There are MANY such songs by her. I also highly suggest "FORGOTTEN LOVE" a live version in Lidmo......there are other versions, but this one is my favorite.......she even sings certain verses in a language "SHE" made up on her own........ Anyways, wow, I wrote a lot more than I planned....... Thanks for your reaction videos and the time and thought you put into your "thoughts and words"......

I believe Aurora said in an interview that she enjoy writing more than singing because when singing she felt more like an instrument/channel where the song controls her.
