As a 68 tear old I have heard many great singers over the years. The difference for Marc is when he sings with so much clarity and emotion, it is like he is just talking to us in a musical way. Natural born singers like Marc and Freddie Mercury have and had RIP Freddie something you can't teach or learn. It's a God-given gift. Love you honest reactions. Keep them coming

In all my 63 years I have never been affected by any singer as I am by Marc! He affects my dopamine system I'm sure of it. I seriously have to be careful when I watch him because I end up staying up all night watching his videos. I know he's a fantastic singer and a fantastic pianist but it's like he comes through the screen and sucks me in, must be his personality or spirit involved as well! I find it really incredible how much he affects my brain and emotions. I have never been addicted to a singer in my life. It amazes me, I have physical and emotional reactions to him even though I've been watching him for years for hours at a time. It's been decades since I bought a CD or an album of any sort but I have his. Blows my mind! And from all the comments I have read through the years I'm not the only person affected this way. So what is it? Is it the frequency of vibrations in his voice? I think it's several things. I loved your reaction thank you!

thanks for highlighting my comment. you are oneof two reaction artists i watch. As i was watching this reaction along with his others i saw the one thing that i always look for, a genuine reaction. you could see it in your face, the emotion. which is what a great song and singer should be able to do. Move someone like it moved me and obviously you. Tthank you for being a "real' person!

Marc actually never really listened to Queen until the early 2000’s. So he never really grew up listening to their music SERIOUSLY until much later on. Prior to the whole Queen stuff, he was in his own band for 10+ years. During his shows people came up to him saying he had a vocal style similar to Freddie’s. Even one of Marc’s band members told him as well & introduced him to Queen’s discography. Then eventually he did a deep dive himself into their music & now he’s a massive fan lol. It’s a happy & glorious accident.

His “90,s cover series” on his channel shouldn’t be missed either. Even if you don’t record reactions to them. Definitely go check it that playlist. Stunning musician / vocalist.

7:33 yes!! He is brilliant without considering the Freddie factor. Thank you! I discovered Marc when I came across this cover here on KZbin one very fine day in August 2018. I was addicted five seconds in. Listening to his whole discography since then, I can safely say Marc's voice is an encyclopedia of vocal techniques and styles.

This is a good introduction to Marc outside Queen’s songs, you can see that his natural voice still sounds like Freddie, but he is an accomplished musician and he has al lot of control on his vocal cords, this is a beautiful rendition of a difficult song

Yeah, really his voice control on that pianissimo passage at the start reminded me of Montserrat Caballe (que descanse en paz), which is the highest compliment I can give.

That 15 second or so breath-controlled run at the beginning is phenomenal. How?! Marc's slant on this song makes me believe he means every. single. word. Thank you for this! This guy has SO many wonderful videos - quality, quality - videos to explore.

Thanks Jeff for checking this cover out! It’s my favorite from Marc’s catalog. Down the line I’ll show you some of his original music plus that Under Pressure video (👀 such a tease I know😂). What’s funny is that Marc himself wasn’t vocally trained when he started out. Growing up he would mimic other singers like George Michael, Richard Marx, even Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam (😅). Just recently he really took vocal lessons seriously. He even made his own vocal course with a collaboration with Chris Liepe & Produce Like a Pro’s Warren Huart. Anyway, thank you for doing this video, really appreciate it & I hope to see you in future Marc vids! Have a great day man🤘
@StrateleStudios2 жыл бұрын
It's absolutely amazing that he wasn't trained early on. That must mean he really worked hard over the last few years to get this good. Very impressive!
@JoshCarlos19982 жыл бұрын
@@StrateleStudios I think it really started in like early 2020ish where he was getting the ball moving on vocal lessons. He got really sick in the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020 (he’s said he never got tested for Covid during that time cause no one really knew much about it at the time, but he did have similar symptoms) so in the process he “lost” his voice. Eventually he got it back, but afterwards that’s when he started to take the lessons seriously. During that fiasco he had to cancel a show before it started due to his vocals not being up to speed cause of the aftermath of the sickness. He felt absolutely gutted about doing something like that.

Marc's orginal album named with deliberate irony "Impersonator" is awesome. His original song "Believe" is also wonderful and available on YT on video. His original Christmas song "How many Kings" is also on YT not only by Marc in English and Spanish and with his first band "downhere" in concert but also by others around the world covering the song in various languages. Marc's range and versatility is remarkable. I hope you also get to react to his Mercurotti video just because its one of the most fun to see people who've never seen it before react to. Thank you for the wonderful reactions to Marc so far. Subscribed : )

Great reaction! This tune is not easy to sing, but Marc excels in vocal control and long legato lines. Plus, that beautiful vibrato is like icing on the cake. I’ve listened to many covers of this song and nobody could touch The Righteous Brothers’ version, until I heard this one. Thank you for the video! ❤️

Great analysis Jeff, I first noticed Marc when he posted up his audition for the Queen competition, that made me curious about him and I searched and found him singing in a gospel band and he blew me away with his voice. This one is a great cover and it got to me more than the original did thank you for brining it to our attention. On another note Brian May went on to say they did not take Marc to sing with Queen as it was too uncannily like Freddy and they did not want that.

It’s funny, because I “accidentally” discovered him through a live Queen performance & thought it was Freddie Mercury wearing a white hat😂. I was 16 at the time so I thought: “Man, this is a high quality live performance.” Little did I know it was actually Marc.

He was in a Christian band called down here. If you want to hear his amazing original voice before the Queen stuff look up “let me rediscover you”. And he was originally picked as lead for Queen extravaganza before Adam lambert. Adam was a horrible replacement. I was fortunate enough to meet Marc and the entire band and they were amazing and beyond gracious. Huge fan! Also let’s not forget that Marc helped Rami Malek on bohemian rhapsody

Adam Lambert was approached by Queen long before they ever knew about Marc, to be a guest singer with them as "Queen & Adam Lambert hence QAL. Adam was never considered for Queen Extravaganza which was Roger's idea of an official tribute band to themselves. [Queen]. Marc's own band currently is One Vision of Queen and is the best Queen tribute band in the world, all without costumes, glitter or yellow jackets, moustaches or broken mic stands.. Just musical excellence and classic Queen. Alirio Netto now fronts QuEx such as it is.
