The 2nd time Johnny Copeland sets up to the mic he's supposed to sing the next verse but he forgot the words so he played a solo and that's why Johnny and Stevie laugh. The 1st time Eric Clapton heard Stevie Ray Vaughan play he told one of the guys " you expect me to go on after that? " he said I have to meet this guy 😆

Stevie Ray Vaughan's career was only 7 years and he won 12 Grammys, 6 W. C. Handy, he was the 1st musician to be inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame in 1982, the Blues Hall of Fame in 2000, honored by Mark White the Governor of of Texas in 1985, 10 Austin Music Awards, Entertainer of The Year, Instrumentalists Of The Year. That is absolutely amazing to me and I can't believe he only had 1 #1 hit that hole time with Crossfire floors me.

I've been watching reactors for 2 years now and they have never listened to one of my favorites MAY I HAVE A TALK WITH YOU he played it when he played the Austin City Limits. There is also a video from an album he did with his brother Jimmy Vaughan just before we lost Stevie Ray and they obviously didn't do a video to Tick-Tock, Jimmy talks about a dream he had and he shows videos of Jimmy and Stevie when they were little, Stevie sings the song with a beautiful message and I cried when I saw it.

Stevie Ray's white guitar is a hard tail Fender stratocaster style built by Charlie it had 3 danelectro lipstick pick ups Charlie built it for Stevie in 1983, I think it's awesome that his wah- pedal was Jimi Hendrix, Hendrix gave it to Jimmy Vaughan when Jimmy Vaughan's band played a show that Hendrix was playing Experience in Fort Worth Texas. Stevie Ray played with the rounded part of the pick he said it was better because it gave him more string attack and believe me he attacked those 13 gage strings like nobody's business.

SRV's Double Trouble group had a keyboard man as a major part of the group. He was Reese Wynans, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.

I saw SRV play at the Wellington Town Hall, New Zealand. I think it was around 1984 /5..also the fabulous thunderbirds played. And the opening act was a solo artist I do believe his name was Ray Martnez. He played an acoustic set. The whole show was kick arse! Cheers 🍺 🍺 🍺 🍺 🍺 🍺 🍺 🇳🇿🏴

brother. SRV doesn't ever smoke his idols. He showed total respect to Johnny Copeland. Wat h when Johnny plays the lead and Stevie laughs with pure joy at what JC is doing. Stevie had way too much class to cut anyone on stage. A musician would know that. it's not about ego here it is perfection caught on camera.

Stevie Ray Vaughan was an amazing person to know that he had a rough start with an alcoholic, abusive father and his brother Jimmy said Stevie got it the worst and never knew why. That helped me understand more about why he got into drugs and alcohol but he beat all that and was always so humble and kind. His career was only 7 years, it start with Stevie going to an Albert King concert and asking if he could sit in ( everyone said Albert didn't like anyone) so Albert said OK, when Stevie started playing Albert had a huge smile on his face and took Stevie under his wing and was actually Stevie's godfather. When we lost Stevie from the helicopter crash on August 27th, 1990 at the age of 35 ( 4 yrs to the dad his father passed away) it was such a hard day for all of us. One song that totally blew my mind was Voodoo child in Nashville, he played 85% behind his back and with one hand it's worth a look even if you don't react to it. RIP the GOAT SRV

Hey Justin👋✌️ thanks for the shout out and for doing this one. This white guitar is special as it was made by his good friend Charley Wirz, a Dallas Guitar Shop owner, who assembled it from spare parts. On the back it has a big hula girl sticker and on the neck engraved are the words "To Stevie Ray Vaughan, more in '84. He had quite a collection of guitars, all named; this white is of course Charley, his beat up one you've seen him play is #1, (aka first wife) also "Scotch" , Red, etc. He uses different guitars for different songs and tone. You should hear him play an 12 string acoustic guitar on MTV Unplugged just incredible. My next recommendation would be for you to experience more of this guitar in his "Life Without You" performance at the Capitol Theatre in 1985. It was a song Stevie wrote about his friend Charley after he passed away suddenly from a heart attack the previous year. This particular performance has everything you could ask for. Tender vocals, a seamless guitar switch at the beginning, 🔥🔥🔥riffs and runs, and other surprises you will just have to see and hear. Thanks again Justin, I appreciate it🎸🎶💯

@@JustinPanariello thanks Justin! You will love it I'm sure🎸🎶💯. Also you asked at the end if there was more of them playing. Answer is yes they do Look at Little Sister and it is a hot jam🔥‼️. This was his second appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. They had flown Johnny over for a special addition and everyone had a blast.

I did sound for 30 years or so as a hobby. I had a lot of mics that are now considered vintage. It's my guess that Stevie's vocal mic, in this video and others, is A Sennheiser 409. I used to have one and another copy called Blackfire 509. Good mic for guitar amps and also vocals where smoothness was preferred over the typical extended frequency response and increased sensitivity that more modern vocal mics have. Sennheiser did make a copy of it (609?) after the 409 was discontinued but it wasn't nearly as good. Stevie seems to like it because it works with it really well.

Another great reaction! There is a version of Tin Pan Alley that is combined with Dirty Pool!!! I think it was from Tokyo. I’ll look. That white guitar is most likely the one he got from Charlie Wirtz or Wurtz, sorry. He was a great friend of Stevie’s who died suddenly and Stevie wrote “Life Without You” for him. That song should be watched from the Capital Theater show. Keep doing Stevie!

Hi again. I remembered you had asked about Dirty Pool. There is a great live version from his first appearance at Montreux in 1982. Also in his Toyko concert he did a much different version of Tin Pan Alley and then did the most amazing transition into Dirty Pool that blew my mind🤯🤯💯.

Pretty sure his mic here is a Sennheiser 906. Could be wrong, but that's my guess. Typically seen on guitar amps, so a very interesting choice for a vocal mic.
