Great reaction video, there's so much great music in the Final Fantasy series, but this one is one that has always stood out. For context, this song is played during the final boss and the different movements you identified are played during different "phases" during the boss. In particular, right before the 8:00 band coming in, you ascend basically into heaven and are fighting the final phase of the boss where he has ascended into a twisted God. This epic soundtrack really captures the impact of building to that moment.

Lol, definitely. The FFVI soundtrack is arguably one of the best prog rock albums of all time. Uematsu was definitely listening to a lot of Yes and King Crimson at the time.
