She never uses auto-tune. She wants to be authentic.

well autotune doesn't have to be used to just make the voice sound better but it can be used for creative reasons, but she obviously uses stuff on the studio recording vocals to make them as smooth as possible, everyone does, doesn't have to be autotune but there are many other ways that kinda take away from the "authenticity". she obviously can sing and has amazing talent, as far as I've seen and heard, she never lip-syncs which is awesome, but yeah she's awesome, I love her

Taylor still uses the pick holder on her guitars even during the eras tour!

Love this little break-down! As a classical guitarist (from age 9, and I’m 32 now, so it’s pretty ingrained at this point) it boggles my mind why anyone would do this with a pick, but I wish I could! I learned this song fingerpicking and then just did some *rasgueado* as my “strumming” technique..doesn’t sound exactly the same LoL Whenever I use a pick it feels very robotic and unnatural, like I cannot loosen the f* up and get the pattern right, especially when trying to sing it at the same time. Any suggestions for me? 💕
