As western music follows Do Re Me Fa So La Ti Do, indian music follows Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Da Ni Sa and that fast part she does is called a Raag which is a princpal of joining certain notes in their scale. This raag is especially hard because it allows very little room for breathing only most technical singers can pull it off.

The ending crazy fast thing she does is called a sargam and if you look up "Shreya & her team in Muqqabla Aar-Paar on Music ka Maha Muqqabla" at 3 50 mins in she does the same exact whole run TWICE AS FAST. No one can hold a candle to her.

That section which is amazing is called the sargam (google up - it’s seven notes) , the last part where she does ni sa nisax4 da ni danix4 onwards , she’s doing it with very little breath And the last run is continuous - very difficult song to pull off

That vocal thing in the beginning you stopped to see if there’s a time signature involved, is actually a time signature in itself. It’s called taal , and it is used to define a time signature for Indian classical pricursion instruments.

It's a compilation video of times she sang on the spot from her judge's seat bc they asked her to and she obliged and it's amazing. (I hope this comment shows up; comments giving me weird problems, don't know how to share videos??). One more that isn't on there is even more impressive - look up "Shreya Ghoshal Indian Idol Barso Re" and check out the first video that comes up posted by SET India - 4 40 mins in, during her critique they ask her to sing again.... Trust me, the co-judge next to her is also a very accomplished musician and he could not even contain himself it's that good. Would LOVE to see you react to these... :D :D

It will be difficult for you to analyse these songs based on Western musical grammar especially time signature etc. This is based on Indian classical music and it follows its own rules. But I really appreciate your efforts to decode such complex composition 🙂
