N E R I S S A. In the stream before she dropped it she explained that Rissa wrote the whole song herself with only minor changes to the lyrics by Kris after he came with the music. She also said that she is cooking up a lot more which will come soon. WE WAITING FOR THAT ALBUM.

Her main thing is she likes chill smooth rock and citypop, so this type of discotheque lounge singing fits what she likes, but people heard Aishite from her debut and want those power opera like showcases from her. What I hope happens is people don't start thinking she is "lesser" because she sings what she likes and it's not all Ado like power ballads or opera showcases.

Agreed. She doesn't always have to do backflips to impress. Sometimes just a chill song smooth as velvet all the way through is excellent.

Loved the song! I definitely hope she lets loose even more in her future songs. She definitely sounds like she has a lot more power to offer, but this song style definitely suits her!

The disco style of this song works so well with her voice.

For her 1st original, she's doing really good job. But, I get a feeling that this might be too easy for her. Since we know what she can do with her voice, her next OG probably gonna blew us out of the water. Imagine if she's dropping an opera OG 🤔

Right? The strings in the background give me major Persona 5 vibes. I think the P5 soundtrack is actually really influential, I've been hearing that combination of high strings and funky baseline EVERYWHERE since P5 dropped.

the style is called "Disco". you can tell disco by the synth, bass and the 4 on the floor beat. classic disco song.

She used to be the KZbin queen of city-pop so it’d make sense that her first original song is a city-pop style song.

yeah I agree, she can pop off way way more than she did with this one, but it's a great start. It's like when mumei started with "a new start" and then much later she released "mumei", which is one of the best songs hololive has ever produced. I can't wait to see what nerissa cooks up later on.

I can't get enough Nerissa. Her EP is just fire. I think Elizabeth is technically a better singer, but Nerissa's got so much charisma in every note. I could listen to her all day, every day.

On the 2nd listen I felt like I could hear Michael Jackson singing along. A duet with Nerissa would have been amazing. I wonder if he would have dug v-tubers if he were still around.

Honestly, I don’t know if it’s just me, but this song has a very Persona feel to me.

This vaguely reminds me of "Here Comes the Hotstepper (Evian version - Yuksek remix)" Maybe it's just me. Anyway, N E R I Z Z L E R
