I prefer the live version of this song just for it being Brian on the guitar versus the synthesizer used in the studio version. Obviously Freddie is, as always, amazing.

Hi John, Your reactions to Queen/Freddie are ALWAYS among my favorites... THANK YOU!! This was the second night of the two back-to-back concerts, and it amazes me that Freddie's voice still sounded that strong after basically singing for two days straight (even though it cracks a bit, as opposed to the first night which obviously was better).

He had a very bad cold that day, same with live aid, but it messed up his vocals really badly. Still insane singing for a cold that bad. Queen4life

Live aid he actually had laryngitis, hence why his doctor advised him not to do the show and he didn't have a cold at Wembley '86 either, his nodules were playing up

there were two shows at Wembley in '86, day after day, at the end of their longest farewell Magic Tour. Freddie was exhausted and gave what was probably the worst live performance of his career. however, it is still a high level

how in the hell does anyone come down from that after playing before such a crowd . no wonder they take drugs to come down from or replace that rush off stage what a band ,what crowd and stage control they where one of the best and with a guy who started as a PUNK DRUMMER and kept that drive and groove for the band

To hear some incredible Roger Taylor high notes check out In The Lap of the Gods Live at the Rainbow 1974. (not the revisited version). Also Dragon Attack from the great Montreal 1981 concert is a must see. Apparently it was John's favourite song to play live.
