The last 3 weeks have been unusually busy with gigs. If you watched my previous vlogs, you know that also means I was learning and rehearsing songs on bass as well as Cajon. I love doing these shows and having an excuse to really work on bass but it also makes it a challenge to put out the sort of video and recording projects that I’ve done for years. I will do more as soon as I’m at home, in my basement practice room again. In the meantime, I hope that these videos give you a better idea of how I’m pursuing music lately and what my real life looks like from day to day. The shows down in Florida all involved many other bands coming from all over the country and some of the sets were in outdoor venues. I found out that makes for crazy schedules, changes of plans and in general, “A Whole Lot of Waiting”.
The song that I use in the beginning and end of this video is one of my new originals called, “One More Day”. As it turns out, it works pretty well as a vlog theme song! Lately. I’ve had several people inquire about how they might be able to help me and if I sell any merchandise. It is very flattering and generous of you to inquire about that but at this point, what would help me the most is to keep growing an audience of people that have a genuine interest in my music and my musical journey. These are some things that could help with that goal right now.
If you like any of my videos, watch them all the way through, (several times if you’d like), give them a like, comment, subscribe to my channel and share my work with anyone and everyone you know. There is a SHARE link right under the video player that makes it pretty easy. If you have a Facebook or Twitter account, post my videos on there and encourage your friends to share them as well. If you use Spotify, hit the follow button on my account so you will know anytime I upload new music. Same goes for any of you with Instagram. So as you can see, there are lots of things you can do that will help me if you’d like. Regardless, THANK YOU for taking any interest at all in what I do and I hope I can continue to earn your support.
I’m 14 years old and I want to be a musician when I grow up. I’ve played many instruments but the one that I feel at home on is a drum set. Drums have always felt natural to me somehow even when I was very young and even though I play lots of other instruments, it’s generally just an excuse to get to eventually record a drum track. I would say the only thing that impresses me more than a great musician is a great song writer so I also spend some of my time trying to learn the magic of songwriting along the way. I thought it would help me keep focused if I started a drum series where I learned a new song every couple of weeks. Hopefully, I will keep doing it, keep loving music and keep getting better.
