Thank YOU, John. I’m happy you like our sound. As you can imagine, I much prefer making videos that focus on the music itself, rather than the hassles and minutiae of distribution and logistics. Hi there, thank you so much for the video. I am a mastering engineer, trying to be able to provide Apple digital Masters. So far, no one has been able to articulate how a studio becomes certified. Do you know how your mastering engineer became certified?

I don't think you need to get certified to get the hi res lossless badge. If you give a hi res file to the disto it will come up as hi res. Apple won't downsample your files. Apple digital masters are way better because of the elimination of clipping.

You may be right about having the High-Res - Lossless designation, but you do need certification to be labeled an Apple Digital Master. (Apple's documentation is thin to say the least.)

I have a question, what happens if I upload a master .wav (-10 - to -11 LuFs integrated) optimized for AAC ( measure with AURoundTripAAC plugin in the master channel) 126kbps totally healthy from peaks to spotify?

Not sure exactly what you're asking, truesearch. If you're asking of those specs would qualify the master for Apple Certification, the answer is NO. The track must be mastered by an Apple-certified Mastering Engineer or Studio.

@@RobertCassard Hi, I think you misunderstood my question. I'm not asking about how to upload a digital master from Apple to Spotify. I'm asking about this: there is an add-on for Mac OS, called AURoundTripAAC, that basically simulates a 126kpbs codec and translates you the peaks that your song would have when converted. I understand that it is mostly used for Apple's digital master, but what happens... if in my mastering I use that tool and optimize a song without peaks for Spotify and not for apple. would it be just as valid? no one has managed to answer me this... it seems as if it is something that no one has asked.
