INSOMNIAAAAAA!!!! I've been planning a trip to Korea for the past couple of months and Dreamcatcher's management SAID YES TO A COLLAB!!!! BUT THEN- we realized Dreamcatcher will be out of town on their world tour when i'm in Seoul 🥲 ...Thank you for your support thus far and manifestation for a collab! It will happen one day!! In the meantime, I'm trying to get a hold of LEEZ & Ollounder heheh ❤~ *P.S. Sorry we couldn't release more reactions to Vision. Our external hard drive broke a couple of weeks ago and was so damaged, a professional clean room couldn't recover any of the footage we had saved on it. Kevin + Owen's reactions were filmed after the drive accident, so here's their vid !

I think expecting Vision to be as nonstop hard-hitting as Scream isn't the best comparison; Vision isn't trying to be a super aggressive punch-in-the-face metal-pop song, it's trying to be industrial rock more like Filter meets Infected Mushroom, and I think doing a pretty good job of it.
@KiGeprak2 жыл бұрын
Yup yup, it served the purpose very well! Personally I think VISION will worked really well as background music for sport match or news.
@ivyshy982 жыл бұрын
maison was clearly an environmental warning that would result in an apocalypse. however vision seems to have a different message on another cause for apocalypse - war. there are lots of war/peace imagery throughout the mv and it ends on the victory hand gesture which is also synonymous with peace. the members seem to avoid saying it's an anti-war song, perhaps not to be political given the current state of the world today. they repeated mention vision is about what they strongly believe in and in separate interviews they said they want peace in the world. they refer to the final v gesture at the end as peace, not victory or vision.
@Brainreaver792 жыл бұрын
i thought it was about taking a stand about global warning too....because handong has a line that something along the lines of "stand above the cracks of the earth and raise your flag"
@MadCheshireHat2 жыл бұрын
I think it eludes to war as well, it makes a lot of sense. War also is horrible for the environment. Explosions, environmental distruction, carbon footprint...
@Chicken.Noodle1902 жыл бұрын
Throughout the song they call people to follow them into the battle necessary to stop the forces that are causing the accelerating environmental catastrophe and all the unnecessary killing and other horrors in today's world. Pivotal is where they call people, via a planet wide underground broadcast, to take up a vision that the fight is for the beautiful future that's possible. And warn that if people don't make those sacrifices now, the pain is going to multiply. The rest of the album (and what they model in daily life) fleshes out the vision of the beautiful potential. Nice to have something that doesn't just rage against the dark forces, but does so with vision and determination to change things. I think every element of the production is very much in sync - lyrics, music, vocals, choreo, military style uniforms... and peace signs.
@atthepartycheers2 жыл бұрын
I don’t necessarily think it’s an anti-war song at all, it calls for others to join the literal fight to save the world /in order for us to have peace/. To me it’s a “in order for us to save our Earth from the enemies with no reason for their destruction, we need to fight them. Then we can have peace on this earth and protect it.” Usually since they said reference reloading and have a more militant choreo, it would be a very strange anti-war song.
@ivyshy982 жыл бұрын
@@atthepartycheers jiu once said nothing is by accident and insomnias should look out for everything. look at the imagery in the mv. dami is in a control room with a screen showing bombs going off and soldiers crawling around. in maison she was in a control room but of a power plant with images showing things burning. that's only one of many examples. dami's verse also generally sets the theme in many songs and she starts off with turn over page which you can interpret as turning over a page of a book, a history book. she then continues with fighting with gloomy consequences. as I said, they don't want to say it directly because it would make the song a political statement given the state of the world today. so yes the overall message of the trilogy is to avoid an apocalypse but there are many ways that could occur. dreamcatcher did the same for the dystopia trilogy but most people took the simply route and said the entire trilogy was just about online hate/bullying which was only part of the message.

Musically I don't think it has as much as some of DC's earlier stuff, Scream, Boca etc. But I do think it's going to be amazing live, and if we get lucky, with a live band. Hopefully our Europe fans get to experience that soon 💜 Also Kevin consistently mentions his wish for DC to go harder for more of the song and I generally agree. Maybe I'm too influenced by western rock that doesn't (usually) have the rap/vocal breaks that is common in kpop formula.
@keithcraig5062 жыл бұрын
Their recent Seoul concert had a live band. There are fancams available here on KZbin. I doubt they will have a live band in Europe, simply due to the logistics involved. Moving the group, their support staff and equipment around the world is complicated enough already. Adding a band, all their instruments and additional equipment to the equation would, at the very least, double the complications, and the cost.

I don't know why some of you keep saying stuff like this comparing it to other releases we a in 5years now and never once Dreamcatcher do a same thing and it should be well known by now that Dreamcatcher made their song with a storyline Scream is very Different from vision, Musically,story wise,Visually, lyrically they're not trying to make any 2.0 of their older songs and as far as industrial rock goes this goes very hard I don't know what you listened to but Scream isn't that hard it is just heavy edm and if you listen to it carefully to the instruments you will know that Vision goes way harder than Scream rock instrumental speaking. The thing is Scream as a lore and visual makes it look like it is harder cause it tells a story about wanting scream at bullies and hate, while Vision is a marching sound they're marching towards their goal or their 'Vision' similar to songs like Queens We will rock you, the instruments aren't supposed to be aggressively punch and kick and run their way through but to gather people to march together to the beat of the sound. Honestly it baffles me when people be like it's not like Scream,Boca,Odd eye like it never was supposed to be like Scream,Boca etc...if you like sounds that sound like the former releases than listen to BlackPink. Also let us not act like Don't light my fire,Break the wall,Endless night,No More exist to say that Dreamcatcher doesn't go hard like they do you just don't give credit to the ones that goes hard
@keithcraig5062 жыл бұрын
@@veen-a2092 Okay, calm down. First, I can understand and appreciate you wanting to defend Dreamcatcher. Like you said, every DC release is different. It's just natural for people to like some releases more than others. It's all based on personal taste and opinion. We all have our favorite DC songs. Does that mean we all hate other DC songs? Not in the least. No one is attacking DC here. Saying "I like this song better" or "This release doesn't have as much as that release" isn't an attack. It's a statement of opinion. Now, if they had said "This song sucks compared to...", then yeah, but nothing in the op's comment was as negative as you make it out to be. And DC has never sounded like Blackpink. No shade on BP, but there really is not comparison, musically, between DC and BP.

The energy of this song is amazing, it's the only kpop song to make it onto my dubstep Playlist. It's got that level of energy, and I love it for that, mostly because of that heavy chorus. Simply fantastic. Puts me in the same mood as a good BTSM song.
@sarahnadeofpoetry2 жыл бұрын
I'm gutted that this particular reaction isn't longer, but I understand why it's not. I'm sorry about your hard drives, that sucks. But excellent reaction as always! That chorus will always be a highlight for me-the electric guitar riffing with the palm muted open strings, just skipping back and forth from one ringing note to the next over the top of that is instantly recognisable to any metalhead, and it's the first time Dreamcatcher has gone fully in that direction, as opposed to the more j-pop anime inspired chord progressions of earlier releases, which was still amazing for k-pop... and this is just the natural evolution of that. Full on metal. In k-pop. 'Odd Eye' was the closest we've got before this, but now? Brilliant stuff.

"Vision" is part 2 of the Apocalypse trilogy. I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!
@faitheshbaugh59842 жыл бұрын
Personally, I thought the chorus was supposed to follow the line "forward match" and provide the beat for you to fall in line with. If they are rallying troops, having a clear beat for everyone to fall in line to is useful.
