The way Hongjoong and the rest of the producer team were thinking of ‘Thank U’ part 2 for their unit song (a calm cute song about their friendship) when Hwa turns to him like ‘I’ve always wanted to try rap and hip-hop 🥺’ and Hongjoong said ‘say lessssss’ and come out with this banger instead 😭 proud is an understatement.

I read somewhere that Hongjoong said he and Seonghwa went through over 400 sound files to produce this song. It's aimed at those crazy fans who buy their numbers and then phone them during lives, a fan even put a GPS on their Kia Carnival one time. But all that aside, I love this song from them. Agree with everything, sooo good!! Although I like other genres even more so I'm expecting another Matz song but this time rock or a blend with it! In fact, in the Matz production behind(you guys have to watch it even if in your own, very cool!), spoiling that Hongjoong was working with that genre initially :') And they both love rock and said in the past that they would like to form a duo and do rock, and also were Hongjoong would sing and Seonghwa rap! So even tho I'm happy with Matz I still want that to happen Ik I will love it even more!🥺

so glad you loved it! when they announced the names for the tracks i think more atiny thought we were getting something heartfelt like Thank You (친구), which is a song that Hongjoong wrote for Seonghwa. But Seonghwa actually convinced him to do this kind of track and i am so glad they did 😭 if you are curious, they have a video on thr recording and behinds :) maybe something for the patreon?
