Everyone of Bts members have their own soloalbums, except Jin who will probably be releasing his by the end of this year. Bts members have allways had solosongs in their albums and all the rappers have multiple mix tapes before releasing their albums. Army supports all their solo careers also, it is a healthy way of them to express themselves outside Bts stuff. 💜

BTS always had solo songs in their albums and they had always released solo projects to express their personal colors and feelings outside of the group. When they started focusing on solo endeavors on 2022, they didn't shock or surprise the ARMYs. They announced what their plans are, their intentions, their reasons for doing so, and a rough timeline for when they will be able to get back together as a group. They didn't leave their fans blind and grappling in the dark. By communicating their plans and their feelings in a straightforward manner, the ARMYs naturally understood that they needed to do this and wholeheartedly support each members' music. Given that there a 7 very different individuals with 7 very colorful personalities, we were treated to a very varied type of music. There may be some that would not suit our personal taste (I personally does not like one member's album, not because it wasn't good, but because it is just not to my personal taste). But since we know the reason they do what they do, ARMYs support them 100%.

The members are each other's biggest fans and supporters. And we were delighted to enjoy seven different genres of music from them when they released their solo albums before their enlistment. With the firm conviction that they would reunite as BTS after completing their military service, we wholeheartedly enjoy their solo endeavors as special events. All of them have expressed their excitement many times about the new color and synergy BTS will have when they regroup in 2025, having gained experience from their individual activities : ) They all said their personal undertakings would ultimately enrich their team endeavors, and ARMY cheered on their musical growth. The ego for solo careers that you may have seen lead to the disbandment of many bands will not happen to BTS. As proof of this, they happily share that before enlistment, they had already re-signed all contracts for their activities in 2025 as a whole group. Their bond and commitment to BTS remain unshaken. * Jin, the oldest member, was the first to be discharged from the military yesterday! *Just in case you don't know, they have usually included solo songs and unit tracks on their team albums even before.

Agree. Well said. I think in the US, we're used to the idea perpetuated by the media, that often when a member of a band or group "goes solo," it's because the band broke up or the solo artist was "the good one" & the rest of the group is probably now jealous. I don't even think that's necessarily true. Maybe sometimes, IDK, but true or not, it makes for dramatic headlines & sells more magazines, newspapers, & tabloids. I don't know about contracts in the US, maybe some labels don't allow promotion of group work & solo work simultaneously? If so, that would certainly contribute to the mythology & perhaps actuality of disharmonious bands, if solo work was done at the expense of the group's work. (If any US musicians can clarify this, please do, I really don't know.) Regardless, BTS supports each other's solo work & so do ARMY. Personally, I think it's amazing to hear all of them individually, even if someone's music is not my usual style. I like hearing new types of songs & who cares if a song doesn't become my favorite? It's someone else's favorite & that's what's great about music! 😎(That said, I usually do love their solo work.) Also, after BTS solo projects, I am all the more appreciative of their talents when they release their next group song. And so are they, I think. You can tell when they come back together after successful solo work, how happy they are to be performing together again. Thanks guys for reacting to BTS & J-Hope. 💜

J-Hope is most known as a dancer and rapper. He learns the choreography quickly, sometimes adjusts it, and then leads the other members through the dances. He’s a perfectionist. Before debut, he was a hip-hop/street dancer and had a dance team called Neuron. He was the third member to be chosen as a BTS member, after RM and Suga who were both underground rappers. They taught him how to rap and he eventually developed his own style. He can also sing. His nickname is Hobi. He has a very upbeat positive personality and the younger three members often look to him for guidance (the “Mom” of the group). He is ARMY’s Sunshine.

J Hope is very talented and the next member to be released from the military (October). His latest album HOTS Vol. 1 with its accompanying docu-series on Prime Video was so good. Also his 2022 solo performance at Lollapalooza was great. He is a fantastic dancer and also a producer and writer, in addition to having very good vocals. Also, listen to Arson, also from his Jack in the Box album (reference faces of guitarists in More are "burned" not demons.) He is very diverse. ARMY loves and appreciates each member of BTS, even if we have our biases (the one we relate to most). I'm Tae biased and Yoongi is my "bias wrecker," but I adore j-hope and what he does for all his brothers. We don't like "solo stans" -- people who only support their favorite and crap on the others. BTS is a family and we support them all, the way they would each other. :)
@Imme_begin6 ай бұрын
I make distinction between solo stans and new fans who have become fans of only one because of their solo work. I think you sort of referenced the definition of a solo stan. They all know BTS and are usually hostile to the group and one or more members. They are antis. I don’t have a problem with the latter because we can’t expect new fans to want to know about BTS. That’s not how they discovered the member. Our hope is the member will help bring them into loving BTS and all the members, which I have seen several times with reactor. 😊

BTS do not stick to one genre so when they release alternative, jazzy, electronica, rock, pop solos, it doesn't come as a shock to ARMY. That is what is so exciting about them. You can never predict what they will do next. It is so refreshing! Although he is currently in the military ( along with the rest of BTS), RM just released a very alternative album, Right Place, Wrong Person. He is an art lover and worked with artists and musicians as a collective rather than a regular group. He made quite a few videos and did a short chat with BTS member Jimin about it. Jimin loves alternative music too so it was a great insight. Worth a watch/listen.💜

What's funny to me is the solo fans of the biggest or "more popular" members don't seem to care about how their fave actually feels about the group because if they did they wouldn't treat the other members and fans the way they do. For example Jk and V are extremely protective of the other members yet their solo Stans are sometimes soo soo aggressive with their negativity towards the other members

jhope set records & made history at Lollapolooza 2022 when he headlined to a crowd around 105,000 people, you can watch that set or parts of it, without worrying about copyright problems as long as if it is the whole set you break the reaction into too parts. But you can also find official videos of the live set that are broken up into a few songs at a time on their official channel, I think it is Bangtan Tv, where you can find it. Though I would suggest reacting to it with subtitles, because Jhope is a fantastic song writer and you are definitely missing sooo much with out them. I think on the channel, More BTS, you can find this set already broken into two parts and it has english subtitles. I think that is the name of the channel here on KZbin. ( or something close to that) And all the members have done solo projects, and my guess is they will all continue to do so here and there, but Army supports all of them 100% They are all individuals, with their own personal artistic tastes, and things they want to create and share as artists, etc.... And we fully support them without bias. If you are Army, supporting and respecting all seven members will always be what is most important, over all. 💜💜💜 That is literally part of what it means to be Army. It is called being OT7! And that means pretty much that it will always be the original 7 members of BTS, first and foremost. Hope this info helps with some of your questions. Thank you guys for the reaction!!💜

For this project (Jack In the Box) Jhope wanted to show a darker/edgier side of himself, and I love it. But, this is not indicative of who he is. He has many layers. All seven members have released solo songs/albums while still with BTS and since all of them had to serve in their military (Jin JUST CAME HOME YESTERDAY), all seven also released solo albums in what they are calling their Chapter 2. Chapter 3 will start next June 2025 when all 7 are completed with their military service. Jungkook was only 15 when BTS debuted. They were all young and other than RM and SUGA, had not released any kind of music prior to BTS. They 100% took advantage of their forced hiatus to explore their own tastes and grow as individual musicians. Here's a list of the official solo releases since 2020. J-Hope - "Jack in the Box" (there is also a Hope edition that includes live recordings from Lollapalooza); "On the Street feat. J.Cole"; "Hope on the Street vol. 1" (a soundtrack and documentary of his love of dance" Jin - "The Astronaut" (he did this with Coldplay") He was the first to enlist so he only released a single. Hopefully we'll get a full album yet this year. RM - "Indigo"; "Right Place Wrong Person" Jimin - "Face"; "Closer Than This" (single) SUGA/Agust D - "D-Day" Jungkook - "GOLDEN"; "Never Let Go" (single) V - "Layover"; "Fri(end)s" (single)

The CEO, Bang Si Hyuk, of the entertainment company they signed with, Big Hit, valued artistic freedom and encouraged them that the success of one member brings success to the group. The 3 rappers, RM, Suga (AKA Agust D for his solo works) and J Hope released solo mixtapes over the years from 2016 to 2020. All able-bodied men in South Korea have to serve 18 months to 2 years mandatory military service. With this coming they all decided to release solo work as each departed for service. J Hope released Jack In The Box, which this song is from. Jin only had time to release a single before he went, The Astronaut with Cold Play. Suga, as Agust D released an album called D-Day and did a tour, RM's album is Indigo, Jimin's album is Face, V's album is Layover and Jungkook's is Golden. Jin has just been released from his military service, J Hope will be released in October and the rest of the members in June 2025. They have already re-signed with Big Hit Music (Hybe Labels) for another 7 years and pro.ised us they would come back together. They all supported each other with their solo works, attending music shows and cncerts for each other. ARMY supports all 7 individually and as a group.

It's very common for BTS members to do solo works within their own albums and separately on their own. It shows that they are allowed the freedom of their own individuality. They're allowed to let their personal creativity and interests flow and express themselves how they want. In my eyes, I don't see why there would be a single person against them making their own music. (I'm aware of solo stans, and those people need to get a grip on reality) They are always going to be BTS, no matter how many solo songs/albums they make. Army's only want the BTS members to be happy and comfortable doing what they want to do. Even in this music video, one of the other BTS members, V, made a cameo appearance. He also made a cameo appearance in j-hope's first mixtape music video. We're all so happy and proud of j-hope for anything he makes, and the same goes for the other members. They allow their true feelings and thoughts to shine. We connect with them because they're honest with us and with themselves when making music. They're not "confined" to BTS. Real Army's will always support any solo endeavors the members do. And it will always be obvious from the members themselves that just because they're doing solo work, doesn't mean that they're doing this in spite of being part of BTS. They're not doing this because they want a break from BTS or their own spotlight or to distance themselves from BTS. They're doing this because these are their own personal thoughts and feelings they want to express and they're allowed to branch out and be individuals. Personally, I think that's one of the many reasons for BTS' longevity. Western groups we're used to are all these cookie-cutter, manufactured things that have no creative freedom and have to stick to one image and can never do something they wanna do. BTS' varying styles, their versatility, and their ability to create so many different things is what makes them so captivating and interesting. They're compelling to watch and to listen to. Their music is meaningful and makes you think. They work HARD, and it shows. It shows through everything they make. It's so wonderful. I remember watching this for the first time and being blown away by the direction j-hope went with this. It's so different from anything he's ever done before, with BTS or on his own. And it only showed me how much he has to offer. How talented and amazing he is that he was feeling these things. He wanted to show us a new side of himself and he really trusts that Army's will always be by his side. This will always ring true for every BTS member. Even through their solo works, we're still called Army. Because they are always a part of BTS. I'm glad you understand and appreciate their creativity and what they can individually bring to BTS. You're so completely right! They have a lot of their own differences and I think that's what makes them so strong. Their different musical interests and preferences are very varied! And it definitely makes them stronger as a group! i LOVE the perspective that you showed. You perfectly understood that this is exactly what j-hope was trying to show. Something that showed who he is as an individual. Wanting to see what else the BTS members have to show is so relatable and I hope that you are able to react to more of BTS along with their solo works. It's so fun to watch you discover what BTS is all about. It's fun to see that your perspective changes on what you expect to what you get! I love watching people gain a new appreciation and new understanding of their music. To finally get to know that they never sound like just one thing and have a lot to show and say. Thanks for this!

All the seven members solo projects are very different. They have the freedom to experiment a lot with their sounds. It's always interesting for army listen to their projects.

Hi guys! Welcome! If you are lost, then let us know! Jhope is our SUNSHINE! The most positive person with a smile that never ends. JHOOOOOPE! He is a part of our rapline. Enjoy! HOBI is his nickname and he gives us hope! I do suggest subtitles. Lyrics are everything for each member. I know you are lyricists and will appreciate these artists. We as ARMY are so proud of each of their success and we want the world for them. I do also recommend lollapalooza! It is known as Hobipalozza to us. Our ARMY fam also mentioned his triphop. These men create works of art regardless of their genre and they escape to every type. ENJOY! Fighting! BORAHAE!💜 The box is PANDORA box.

BTS Suga aka Agust D - Daechwita MV is a must watch. Each member has solo work and all are very different from one another, and their albums are amazing. Jin hasn't done an album yet, but he has a couple of singles out. They took a break to work on solo projects before entering the military. They will reunight in 2025 as a team again.

Yes we like it,remember they did not strike out. They are just providing us with more delightful music but on a personal scale and please remember they DID NOT DISBAND. they are still a group. BTS took this task on for themselves they wanted to find their on colors. This way in 2025 when the gather together they can each contribute so much more to the group. BTS FOREVER.

Listen to jhope's albums, Jack in the Box and Hope on the street. They are both so different but both call back to oldschool hiphop.

Oh, yes, subtitles! BTS announced a hiatus in June 2022 with an end date of June 2025. They are required to do service in the military by age 30, and the oldest one was fast approaching. The term of service is 18 months. BTS strategized that in three years they would all have time to explore their musical talents as well as serve. ARMY, other than an initial weeping, let them do it, and what an abundance of riches! All of them got to the top, with two to number one in Hot 100. We've had albums, singles, MVs, promotional concerts, documentaries, festival headlining (J-Hope), and a 28-concert solo tour netting Suga (Agust D) close to $4M. What's interesting about J-Hope is he is a dancer who learned to rap, then sing, in BTS. He is nicknamed Sunshine because he's always very cheerful with a great laugh! He's a fashionista, and has been a pillar of strength. Chicken Noodle Soup seemed his style, a happy, silly song. But then there was More. What I heard him saying was "I've been your sunshine all this time, but I want More! I have a dark side too!" I was completely shocked and wondered if he was unhappy. But since this is a period of self- and art-reflection for them, I was ultimately glad to hear it. Arson is another heavy song that I know, but he did do 19 songs at Lollapalooza. Enjoy & rock away! It will be crazy when these seven musical geniuses get back together. I'm not familiar with your reactions, have you done at least one solo from every member? Even each one has a variety.

Not one of the BTS members (including JHope) is 'going solo' at this time. They have always had solo projects. Hobi has 2 solo albums out now. The latest one includes "More" and is off his album "Jack in the Box". The earlier one is called "Hope World". Although serving in the military, the entire group met up to welcome Jin who returned to his home from active duty this week.

So BTS didn't "go solo" as we are used to the term being used in the west. Since the beginning all the members have done solo projects and endeavors while still doing group activities. From solo mixtapes from the rappers, to solo songs from the singers. One of the members has even done some acting. and now all members have solo albums (which happened due to all the members having to do mandatory military service) all except jin because he was the first to be enlisted and wasn't able to do an album before that time. However, that doesn't mean that the albums wouldn't have happened if they didn't have to serve, they just probably would have cone out more sporadically.... Who knows 🤷🏾♀️ But since they've always done solo work no one was surprised. And all ARMY supported all members solo work, the same as BTS themselves supported each other. They go to each others solo MV shootings and each others solo concerts&performances. One of the members (V) was actually in the MV you just watched as a little Cameo

Fun side note... at 7:18 in your video, the guy in the short-sleeved shirt in the far back is V from BTS. He dropped by to visit during the filming and J-hope put him in the MV. :P

I think you guys got the wrong idea from last fiasco with captions on the UGH!! performance. Official music videos *always* have correct captions. But captions on live performances completely depend on the channels. If the owner of the channel manually put captions, you will have correct translation. But if they didn't, you will see words "English (auto-generated)" and this is KZbin captions that never correct. It's not that hard. If you still can't differentiate good captions from auto-generated, you should put them on regardless and if you see that captions are complete gibberish, just turn them off. ARMYs get really irritated by turned off captions in BTS' MVs, because the message is so important. For example this song is about j-hope's journey as an artist and as a person and how he is always wants more and it's not about money and awards, but about art that makes him breathe. Also, as everyone said already, BTS always did solo work alongside with BTS work and we always support all of them equally.

Hey guys! Great pick. 😁 Yeah, to answer your question ARMY supports all the members of BTS who also promote each other's solo projects. I'm biased towards j-hope among the members. A lot of people were surprised when this was released because j-hope is known as the bright and sunny guy, but to me it was a natural progression and expression of his full personality. Another solo song by a BTS member you might like is "Snooze" by AGUST D featuring Woosung from The Rose.

Caaaaaptions next time please. I second other commenter recs: Maybe a chill JHope like I Wonder or Hope on the Street (and later, Lalapalooza), absolutely Suga’s trilogy, V’s Fri(end)s (tho the mv is fun, a live is less distracting) and Tiny Desk, JK pretty much anything off of Golden, etc.
