To answer your question, yes. Live they have that controller thing. They make little skits called "The making of *insert song here* and they use that controller to control the noises and some of the visuals. It's a true AJR staple. Edit: But for the trumpet, they have an actual trumpet player, atm Annette, who plays that part.

Of course! Everyone needs someone who they can let it all our with. You know, share their feelings, without feeling any sort of hesitation. It would be lovely. But, unfortunately, not everyone has that person in their lives. Some people's hidden pain or thoughts just remains in their hearts. They are never spoken. If everyone had that person, depression wouldn't have existed.

I have no data, so don't quote me, but what I've seen, many AJR fans are also 21 pilot fans as they do have similar quality and themes in there songs. Both bands tend to sing about depression, doubt, and understanding, but in a way that sounds happy musically. They have a sort of alternative sound to them, some songs poppy, some songs sythy. 21 seems to have more rap/hip hop flavors in some of their songs, and AJR seems to have more manufacturered and sample sound-vocals, real instruments, and ones that don't really sound like they'd be music on their own, but make it when put together. Also they way Jack dances kills me, xD and I love it.
