Die is the most applicable song to the real world in all of RWBY tbh. Boop's complete change of pace at the start and general "all-over-the-place-y-ness" is just so Nora. That entire song is Nora's mind in a nutshell.

Oh my god. _Die_ is all about the illusions being shattered and our heroes learning what a harsh, unsatisfying place the world really is, even specifically calling back to _Gold_ from the first season. And it plays when Neo pops up to cockblock Yang from actually getting a satisfying victory over Torchwick, leaving the girls frustrated and desperately searching for more leads. It even _literally ends_ with the illusion of the villains shattering before our eyes and revealing that they've already escaped. Holy shit that's clever.

All Our Days is just spellbinding. Evidenced by your near utter silence throughout it. I agree with you that it most of it really fits the sisters, but there is a big problem with putting it as Yang to Ruby, because that opening mentioned years before they met, and Yang is only two years older than her. If it is done from Raven's view; then the "Sacrifice" would certainly elude to the earlier lyric of Oz stealing lives, fighting Salem to keep her at bay.

My Dad taught me to play Bass as a kid, never did play professionally, just play for fun and meditation. But as you guy were talking about, I started out playing only Rock, Metal, Punk and Rock Blues, my Dad made me listen and learn some Jazz; Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck Quartet and the like. I still don't like listening to Jazz 28 years later, however, I do enjoy playing Jazz (it really fun to play) and it has made me a far better Bass player then I ever would have been without listening and play it. Also real bassist don't use picks ;p Well I guess the could use a pick, I guess they could play with with their feet too that would be just as useful ;p ;) Love your guys musical analysis. I know its been pointed out but Sacrifice not from Salem point of view, main theme line "You can't take {my} life {I'm} not your {Sacrifice}" is not something Salem would or need to say. It's Someone who is no longer falling for the lies everyone else is and will not give their life for this lie of a world. Even from what we know at the end of Volume 3 this isn't Salem or Cinder. What we learn later make it less likely either of them are the view point of this song, than more. There is also lovely foreshadowing for later as things from Volume 6 Chapter 3 as talked about as it was already been written when Sacrifice was written. Things that the 3rd candidate and correct person could known some of.

@@rmdur7567 It doesn't work for Cinder or Salem due to the title of the song and the main thrust of the lyrics "You can't take {my} life {I'm} not your {Sacrifice}" but if you what to ignore the main part of the song completely I guess you can make it work but you have to ignore the line and theme completely.

@@ArchImperatrix Salem's almost a literal sacrifice to bring the gods' judgment and make humanity whole again, because Ozpin won't gather the four relics until he's gotten rid of her. He's going to use her life, he's going to destroy her, in order to bring humanity together. There are some clearly direct references to The Lost Fable here too, especially when Miles confirmed they wrote that chapter even before the show started.

I have to seriously disagree with the art chosen for Sacrifice. none of the characters portrayed are actually connected to the most plausible point of view, and who it is directed at. Saying any more is possibly spoiling for someone, so I wouldn't. but I'd say that a re-view of sacrifice's meaning after watching V5 is far more telling, and even moreso after V6.

Unpopular Opinion: Lamar's raps are some of my least favourite parts of the RWBY soundtrack. I Burn is tolerable (albeit unnecessarily "edgy" with the swearing), but Caffeine would be so much better without it. He just lists off coffee types. It's just kinda cringey to me. They always feel forced.

I disagree except for I Burn, but I respect your opinion

I agree hun, i could do without the one in Caffeine

Late but most versions of I burn don't have the swearing. Lamar didn't know the show was supposed to be kid friendly when he first did his part so he did two versions.
