before anyone starts bashing the sound.. look at the majority of these youtube amp demos where they probably use 1 sm57 and nothing else to capture what the amp really feels and sounds like. most demos sound like crap as it is.. but once you play it in person its a totally different experience.

Sure, Randalls sound great, but the way he has the tone setup is pretty bad. This is more of a Rock tone than Metal and explains why Death Magnetic sounded not so good, among other things.

Jeez... I can't believe all the hate on this video. Look, I enjoy there sound from RTL and MOP the most. That sound just had so much to it, and it was mixed really well. But times change. And yea, the amp doesn't sound amazing. But did everyone really feel the need to just go ape shit on Kirk as a person? He is a great guy, and is very humble for being in the biggest rock band in the world. Does he need to apologize for being 53 years old and not being as lively as he was when he was in his 20's?

People stop fucking moaning, it sounds great, the tone your used to hearing is a blend of a full production or what you play at home, which i guarantee sounds shit live, when you mic up at gigs, or in studio a tech will either adjust your amp (yes its his job to get it sounding right), and add eq and remove tones that interfere with other instruments, this sounded absolutely spot on to be used as part of a mix, so the tone is perfect

Kirk Haters are mostly (99,9%) angry individuals who achieved nothing in life and now they are just releasing their stinking poison, many of them also seriuosly lack intelligence (usually people with less IQ struggle in life, but they do have often toxic tongue)...According to old wisdom "you reap what you saw" with this toxic language they just invite more misfortune into their life ! The truth is that guitar players who are truly dedicated to their instrument never criticize other guitarists or are disrespectful, it is those who are really not talented (but jelaous) that are whinning. The truth is that Kirk could play better even in sleep than those haters, yes truth hurts.. So my advice is if you want to improve your life, it will not happen by being angry asshole, you will suffer even more like that. Rather spend ur precious time (cause life is very short), by doing something useful, like guitar practice for example ! But its easier to sit behind comp and writting stupid comments isn it ? Hum Hum Hum :D :D
