So many 60's and 70's songs had sitar solos. One of my favorites is BJ Thomas "Hooked On A Feeling", and one of the most used in commercials is Pat Metheny's "Last Train Home". In concert he plays an old Silvertone electric sitar. That's one of the few guitars I've never owned, but now, you've inspired me to look for one. That one looks like it's not as much of a maintenance nightmare as the old ones.

Thanks for your time. Instantly made a donation to songbirds young children need music. My high school by the time we came around had threw em in a messy dusty pile in the corner of the gym balcony and without my mother enrolling me in the summer program to clean the school to reduce the tuition cost I would of never seen how music programs in school were done away with. Music is very important, and instruments were always my own personal Mr. Miyagi. With that said an early introduction in a teaching environment is necessary. Peace.

Thanks for showcasing a guitar sound that appeared in every 60's psychedelic tune! In hearing those songs back then I aways thought it was some instrument from India. Whereas, the guitar in this video gives the same vibe but looks just like a standard run of the mill electric guitar. Did you get the chance to see how the guitar was wired to ge that unique sound?
