Well this wonderfull bass is going to MontPellier France now. I just have a question Juanka: Do you have the story of the neck ?

What strings did you use? She plays like Pino Palladino’s fretless bass.

d'addario flatwound
@joel_anderson_t3 жыл бұрын
@@jaaz.handss I got a fretless-converted 5-string Squier Precision Bass from the Special Standard series. It has 2 Jazz Bass solid pickups. I'm using d'Addario semi-flat / half-round wound strings. I was able to get the fretless sound with some brightness included. When I loaded the B-string in, the sustain was weak. As I let time fly, the B-string started to have more sustain when I played it.

Sounds very good! Would you say that you were maxed out on the amount of Mwah or Buzz that is possible? Was your action very low on this demo?
@JuankaTrujillo4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! The action was very low but you it could be a little bit more and get a little bit more mwah sound.

@@JuankaTrujillo That lick stuck into my head since I heard it. I wish I was this good at composing, good job. Btw did you recorded it with the stingray of the video or another bass?
@JuankaTrujillo5 жыл бұрын
@@Darkshine1 I´m glad that you like it!!! Yes, I recorded with the stingray of the video, connected direct to an interface Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 with Logic Pro X

Forgive my ignorance but who plays the neck and not the pickup?
@JuankaTrujillo5 жыл бұрын
Its depend on the sound you are looking for, near the neck is more similar than a double bass, near the bridge is more "Pastorius" Sound

It is fretless, it just has markers.

@@somepunkinthecomments471 that backfired lol

@@somepunkinthecomments471 Exactly, my first freltess bass is a FrankenSquier Jazz Bass, Indonesian-made. Originally, it was a 2011 Squier Affinity J-Bass. Then, I replaced the neck with a fretless neck part from a 2016 Vintage Modified Fretless Jazz Bass, which I bought from on eBay in late 2017. It has inlaid markers, which you would describe as "lined". It still can give the fretless sound as long as you make the right adjustments.
