​@kingrobert1st I've been pondering a 12 string for a bit now. Went to our nation wide music chain store yesterday evening .... one of the other locations that was an hour away , to look at a Yamaha that was traded in. Looked like it was professionally repaired at the neck joint ..... ( or semi professionally in this case - although it was done quite well ...I'm just repair savy now after getting a Martin DX repaired ) . Anyway , this Yamaha had a neck joint repair . Not good because the action at the 12th was quite high. So if it was repaired , that would have been the time to do it right and get the action down . On the other hand , there is a lightly used Simon and Patrick ( Godin family of well made guitars ) 12 string for sale about an hour away in the other direction on a private sale that maybe I should go look at . I heard Guild is known for their 12 strings , but I am not sold on their sound . So I am still wondering about how well they ( all other 12 string / brands ) are set up from the factory so that I can better decide what make is going to cost me less to own , in conjunction with what I like for sound and playability. BTW - Your songs are inspiring towards 12 string , in that you make it look easier than most players do , for a beginer guitarist , and a 100 % beginer 12 stringer to get into . Still going to keep watch for a great used 12 string .

Takes a lot of time playing around with EQ and mic placement-my AT2020 gets the best sound but you can pair it with an SM58 or something similar and it will sound huge panned L and R :)

12 string is tuned the same so anything you learn on a 6 string can be transferred to 12 😎

After you played a 12 string for a short while and then go back to a 6 string you put the 6 string down and pick up the 12 string again. At least I do. I play everything on a 12 string now. Even Steve Howe's Clap!
