Richard Nixon was our most musically talented president. Although he never learned to read music, he could play piano, violin, saxophone, clarinet, and the accordion.

Nixon loved Louis Armstrong (Satchmo) and once met him at the airport the story goes, and was honored to carry Satchmo’s bag, and in that bag was a bag of weed!

Strings are too hot, maybe they figured if he cocked it up, they could bury in violins... it's a nice little tune and ge certainly didn't embarrass himself playing it. Left hand was pretty good, in fact..

@@musicom67 lol...my dad grew up with Bob Dole...whom I gave info about Eckankar right after Reagan was shot by Secret Serviceman Jerry Parr...not Bush family friend Hinckley...But, of course, I certainly didn't suggest that to Bob then...but a Vatican Assassins book certainly did😉

I had a dream in the late 80s when for some reason I was at a Mets game and Nixon came up to me in a Mets bomber jacket and baseball cap, shook my hand and said "son, I really enjoy your work..." I do a pretty good Nixon impression, so I would suppose he was intimating his approval of my work in this regard, and not my foreign policy work.

Are you sure this is from '62? If the "last November" reference is to the election of '60, this must have been made in '61? And, as far as I know, nothing happened to Nixon in November '61, but both in November of '60 and '62 (his failed Gubernatorial race), so that comment ought to place this is either '61 or '63.

This aired on March 8, 1963. The best part of the interview is when Parr asks Nixon if Kennedy can be defeated in 1964 and Nixon responds with "Which one?" referring to President Kennedy in the 1964 presidential election and Edward Kennedy in the 1964 Massachusetts Senate election. Parr also poked fun at Nixon's loss in the 1962 California governor election by saying that his 10-year old daughter was worried about Nixon being unemployed and hoped he would find work soon.
