Thanks for a beautiful reaction. Your editing is top notch; I enjoy all the facts you add to the videos. Billie's parents have shared in interviews that Billie was singing as soon as she was able to talk. She has always just been able to sing harmonies. As mentioned in a previous comment here, she joined the Los Angeles Children's Chorus at age 8; it was something her older brother was doing so she wanted to also. She has said it taught them (herself and Finneas) how to protect their voices. She left at age 13/14, after "ocean eyes" had become a sound cloud hit. The attitudes of others in the choir had changed towards her. As a 14 year old young lady she was dealing with a career ending injury that took her out of her first passion - dance, she found the choir wasn't the same enjoyable place, and she had record labels, managers, etc pursuing her. A lot for anyone to handle, yet a 14 year old.

This song was how I discovered Billie Eilish though it was through a cover by the a capella group Pentatonix. I'm well beyond her usual demo, but the song is so lovely that I just HAD to find out what all the hoopla about this Billie Eilish person (I didn't even know if she was a boy or a girl) was about.

[August 9, 2024] I believe I've watched virtually all of your Billie reactions, but probably haven't commented on all of them [thank heaven for you!] - I just watched your reaction to/review of "L'amour de ma vie" - I will comment on that over there. But this one is so cool - there is a NO spot of tension in her whole body - she is relaxed from head to toe - sitting on the stool, her hands are relaxed - like you have noted, this is what Billie was meant to do - I have seen live shows where she has hit the high note with more than just breath - but for some reason, even here, it doesn't seem to be a shortcoming or at least she's not worried about it. And Finneas [turned 27 on July 30] is playing exquisitely - as if she is singing through him or he feels what is coming from Billie.

Bring Me the Horizon did a cover of this, acoustic I believe where the whole band harmonizes with Oli. It is exquisite and I had no idea that Oli could even hit such a pure & sweet high note, it floored me. It was almost painful to hear him sing that way, I can't even describe the feeling, though I have NEVER felt it before🥺

Ohh have you seen billies cover of “End of the World” on bbc radio 1 yet? I know someone else mentioned the cover of Michael Jackson’s Bad, but there’s also her cover of Pentogram (I think that’s the name) “you don’t get me high any more”. Also!! Like a version, when they did a different version of Bellyache back in the day. I love that version. But End of the World is up there in my top three Billie songs and considering all her songs are in my top fifth of four decades of songs I’ve loved that says a lot.

I enjoyed that. I've heard Billie's name tossed around but I think this is the first time I've listened to her. Won't be the last time though. Another artist you may like to listen to is Angelina Jordan. Cheers, Steve

Thank you for reacting to this performance! The synergy between Billie and Finneas is even nicer to watch live than it is to just listen to it. Speaking of excellent synergy, I think you'd love skip.that.party (with Jensen McRae) by X Ambassadors. It's such a powerful collaboration and the simplicity of the music video only enhances it. (And it only has 144k views! Ahhh, it deserves so much more than that!)

Yes, hits so different. That pure sweet high note verse Oli sang was painful to hear in it's perfection, I can't even explain that feeling, but I have never felt it before or since 😳 Yes please react to it? 🙏

My good sir! A band by the name of Sleep Token would absolutely pique your interest, trust me! They use tons of synth base and djent style guitar as well as unusual time signatures with their drumming. Not to mention the singer, one of the better voices you'll hear. Start with the song Calcutta, please and thank you.
