Most important band going today. I don’t even care if they’re “metal”..They transcend the genre. That’s when you have something special.

Exactly! I love when bands or musicians in general have a lot of influences in their music and have a distinct sound to them that you can't label it anymore. Like Diamanda Galás, Igorrr, Cattle Decapitation, Babymetal, Nightwish, and ofcourse Jinjer.

You're absolutely right! I'm 44 and I've never listened to such kind of music. Till now) There's something really special about "Jinjer" music that attracts lots of people loving different genres of music. And thanks to Jinjer I came across someone's reaction to the band named "Calligula's Horse". Progressive metal. Their 2017 album "In Contact" just literally blew my mind. Now I'm their fan too) Music unites people. That's it!-) Greetings from Russia!

Ain't about age at all. The last band that had me so excited was Mr.Bungle 30 years ago, I was 28. They gave me chills just like Jinjer do now. Their talent is other-worldly and I was raised on Classic Rock, Blues and Jazz, then punk and metal and by 1990 Bungle blew me away and completely opened me up musically. I can now suffer screaming from other singers but Tatiana's growls are somehow relatable and cathartic and with her various techniques in altering her pitch it's just fascinating to hear. This is an emotional release and it feels awesome. As a former pro drummer past his prime, this is one of the most satisfying bands out there and I wish them a long career.

I was at work when this popped up on my phone, and I immediately put in my headphones and within a minute I was grooving. Even though I didn't like what I was doing at work, that song instantly improved my mood. I love this stuff, it's so rewarding to figure it out and hear the intricacies. Love Tatiana's lyrics here: "Wish I could catch god by the beard And drag him to the dirty streets To show him what was going on The kind of curse we've waged upon" Rightfully angry at the state of the world and those who brought us to this point (the gods if you believe in any, otherwise the capitalist ruling class). Between the cross made of diamonds and her hand gesture indicating money during the last line, "what do we have to do to get a piece of you", I think she's talking about how money is the god of that ruling class. Thank you always, David, for bringing more fantastic Jinjer music to more people! ❤🖤🤘
