This was Billie Eilish's first live performance of No Time to Die. In interviews before the Brit awards, she said that she was a bit nervous about doing this live. Imagine being a teenager and singing a song that you and your brother wrote in a performance with a full orchestra conducted by Hans Zimmer (World class movie theme composer) with guitar accompaniment by Johnny Marr (The Smiths) and your brother on piano before a huge, packed house full of musicians. Yet Billie was the perfect example of composure and professionalism. Damn!

Every word you wrote I agree with, the girl is a genius emotional master. And so is her brother.

In terms of her belt, yes, she does do that belt in the “studio” version (aka the bunk of their touring van for this song) but that heart wrenching little run she does right after is specific to this live show and one of the reasons I love this version so much (I just listen to both because why choose). The emotions, the control, the pitch perfection, the harmonies. Your “what the fuck did I just watch what is this piece of musical heaven perfection we’ve been blessed with” reaction was 100% me when I watched this for the first time.

Thank you!! And thanks again for watching :) I knew there was something incredibly unique about that part! again for your support :)

That little run she does after the belt is so much better than the one on the recording. There are also some different vocal inflections used on this performance. I’ve on heard the recorded version and this one from the Brit Awards, but this live version always raises the goosebumps. I’m sure the visual of watching her and Finneas perform helps the impact, too.

I have felt the same way since the very first time I heard BIllie sing.. I absolutely love her sooo much. I am an almost 50 year old woman and I have listened to music my whole life... so many wonderful artists and songs in my life... but I have never felt the emotion I have felt listening to this young woman's music. Her and her brother are musical geniuses in My Humble and Honest Opinion. Im not sure if you have seen/reacted to Ocean Eyes... but that is the SONG that STARTED it ALL. Sooo worth checking out.

I agree that her live versions keep very true to the studio recordings. I've wondered myself at times..."is she even really singing?" Then I'll notice small differences and/or she'll add some kind vocal flair not in the original. I actually wish for a little more of that from her live performances....a little bit more spontaneity? Maybe that's not right word.. Improvisation? Anyway...nice react. You mentioned Finneas having a nice voice in this...he is every bit the prodigy she is, IMO. You should react to some of his songs. "I Lost A Friend" is probably my favorite of his.

This is one of the VERY FEW pop singers that I just can't wait to hear what she does next. Absolute monster of a vocalist. Forces you to tune in and actively listen to her by being small and intimate, and then belts to punctuate the song, and then right back you forcing your ears to get close. Brilliant.

It's amazing! High notes are great and all, but I feel like in the mainstream media there's so much of a focus on them when demonstrating a vocalist's proficiency. To me, listening to female vocalists with strong lower registers is astounding (because of such a focus on high notes). Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and leave a comment 😊

I want to say thank you for this video. I have so much to say about this song because I had arranged it for to be deeply looked at in today's culture. This song also has personal reasons as well. It was at my justification to have my daughter sing words for me to count on along with everyone else. So this idea just smoothly developed after writing a few touch base scripts. And she is the youngest singer on record. So I asked if they could settle me and my girls in their plans with what had been produced. It is still unfolding and I will say it is almost complete as to continue on creating more content with my daughter. Isnt Billie sweet?!

I would like to recommend Aurora. Her song Run away actually inspired Billie to pursue music as a carrier. My favorites include Apple tree, The River, and Queendom. Her cover of God is a woman literally makes me feel like I'm listening to the voice of nature itself. Also Melanie Martinez is one of my favorites. Any song from her K-12 album is incredibly thought provoking. She is insanely talented and deserves so much respect. She wrote and produced the album as well as released a feature length movie that contained an engaging story arc connecting all of the songs. She wrote and directed the movie herself and made the costumes.

I’m always looking at comments :) I did two videos on this. Unfortunately the first one was of the lyric video, which I absolutely loved. The other one was a very different pace (and not my usual) where I pretty much sat and just took it in. If you want analysis and my thoughts, you can check the first one out :) i 100% agree that everyone should watch it!
