MTHG. I just want to say thank you bro. You are the best logic teacher ever. Anything logic I ever wanted to know you had a video. I am fan and I appreciate what you do for the music culture. You Rock Bro..

divide the note selection by 4 you get the number of repeats including the main note in the repeater. For example 1/32 note set up you divide by 4 get 8 total notes in the repeater.

Man you saved me a lot of trouble. I switched from FL Studio to logic and I didn't know of a better way to put those triplets in until now. Thanks and keep up the good work.
@RichardNL707 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, you could use a single instrument and re-route the midi of multiple tracks to that instrument. So you don't have the 6 instances of the instrument. It's more-or-less the same like bussing the audio (out) but then instead you "bus" the midi (in).

Man... it's now 2019, AND THATS THE BEST I'VE SEEN YET AS TO HII HATS IN LOGIC!!!!!!

cheers for all the help man I've made music for a while but recently started making beats nd unloading to my channel im getting the majority of my tips and help from your videos much love for these brother

Anyone else want that 7th region moved down to the triplet track? I kept gesturing towards the mouse to make the edit! lol, Great job MTHG

Or use the piano roll and brush tool😂

I'd rather perform the parts than click them in. Brushing the notes in take away the fun from beat making imo

couldn't you just set up automation for the repeater?
@lukejessop46178 ай бұрын
This looks brilliant.. ..! I'm gonna try this.. Thanks.. 😎

Even easier in Logic would have been to select them all and create a summing stack. It would allow you to collapse all of the high hat tracks as well as instantly create a bus track for you. Good tutorial though!

Thanks! Don't know if I'll use it for hi hats but useful to know :)

Nice tutorial, I think I'll stick to MIDI for my hi hats and actually use the note repeater for some snares I have in my project :)

Awesome, so what if you wanted to change the velocity of each high hat to make them sound more like a live drummer? I'm thinking of using this for triplet snare buzz rolls. Thank you for any help you can provide!
@MateoBreathec5 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure you can like click on the faded bars on the repeater and mess w the velocity individually
@s33bah6 жыл бұрын
Are those midi tracks or software instrument tracks? Because I can't seem to use a drum patch on my MIDI channel and can't access MIDI FX for a software instrument drum track.
@maxhaunold57007 жыл бұрын
With garageband on the iphone you can make easy dj fx effects on the master track. Like cutoff filter sweeps etc i especially love the socalled repeater that could repeat your whole project instead of just midi notes. I can't find it on logic tho :/ But it can't be that the iphone can do more than logic pro am i right? So where is it? 🤔

That's easily amazing

Ha!! This is a cool approach. I'm gonna try it. Thanks

Seems just as long as doing it in piano roll but it is cool lol
@harrycross43116 жыл бұрын
I love logic but this is so much faster in ableton, you can apply an arp to specific notes in a drum rack, so just play 1/4 notes, 1/8 notes and 1/16 notes live.

Hey bro you know you can just go to note repeat in your tool bar and you don't even need to use this as midi fx plugin and just do it on one track not a lot of different tracks
@MusicTechHelpGuy7 жыл бұрын
Right that's the whole point here. Not having to draw in a bunch of notes in the piano roll.

Man, awesome job but, dont know why my hats got overlaped... out of rythmic and with blank spot between, i follow every step. Im working on 135 bpm
@LuisSantiago7776 жыл бұрын
could also bounce them to audio in one trck thanks
@leelarosa5 жыл бұрын
Isnt it easier to just use the arpeggiator?
@MusicTechHelpGuy5 жыл бұрын
It's actually easier to just type in Hi Hats with the brush tool, but at the time of making this video, the Brush Tool was not available in Logic.
@danishwazir24835 жыл бұрын
before you i never thought i cud use logic 🤣

How's this duplicating affects CPU? Is it possible to do that with Battery (Still asking about CPU, cause it's a big problem in my case...)
@MusicTechHelpGuy8 жыл бұрын
By duplicating the tracks, and putting effect on multiple tracks your using more plug-ins, therefore, eating up more CPU processing power. Using one Effect on an aux as opposed to 6 FX on 6 audio tracks, saves on processing power. It would be the same with Battery, or any instrument for that matter.
@Powhart8 жыл бұрын
MusicTechHelpGuy yeah, but using multiple batteries wil still use more CPU than one battery with multiple outputs right?
@MusicTechHelpGuy8 жыл бұрын
Yes. In the video I was talking about saving CPU power with the FX not the instrument plug-in.
@RichardNL707 жыл бұрын
But you can use one Battery and feed in multiple midi-tracks.
@LeadersOfAFreeMind6 жыл бұрын
I'm starting to hate logic. I watch my friend in FL studio pound out this shit in 3 seconds. Here I am I have the part in my head and it's taking me so long I'm losing flow on my beat. I am about to jump ship on this program.

Michael Abraham click the piano roll on the hi hat. Get the paintbrush tool and choose the different rhythms of notes from 1/4 to 1/64 to off triplets. It’s more easier than this and less time consuming
