MUSKIE TACKLE TALK ep.4 (Rubber Baits)

These are the Rubber Baits that helps us be successful on the water. These
specific tools is all we need to put nice muskies in the net every season. There are a few other rubber baits out there, but these are the ones the put the most fish in the boat for us year in and year out. Host Fischer Smith and his dad Jason Smith explain when to use them and how and stories behind the baits. If your into muskie fishing and lack confidence on rubber baits this is worth watching. These baits have been used in Minnesota on waters like Leech lake and Millie Lacs and Wisconsin waters like the Chippewa flowage and Green Bay. So fun to see the passion between you two. Instructive and some stories behind. I got few questions. You go to a new body of water, how do you prepare? Where would you go? Stained versus clear water, does color matter? If you could only put one line in the water what do you choose for trolling and depth strategie? I know nothing beats time on the water but how do you get more efficient on a limited time on the water? There are so many baits, cant bring everything. What do you bring in the box in each month if you had a large plano,heartmate or lakewood monster. Thank you so much. Is there a time you just know its less worth it to go out because the bite would be off?

Quick question, have you every added shrink tube to rear hook on your Red Octobers? I find the tail doesn't foil this way. Caught my PB, 47 & 53, with Marc Thorpe on the St Laurence with Halloween colored R.O. (classic full moon bite).

This kid is 12 years old and has caught 134 muskies at the time this video came out. Just let that sink in.
