Today we get out riding with my girlfriend Chloe, she has a little bit of snowmobile experience but not much and we take her up in to the big mountains of Revelstoke for an adventure ( ok maybe just a scenic tour)
Show Chloe some love for being a great girlfriend and being cool with me going out sledding for 3 months while she stays in depressing Ontario working the whole time
Im riding my 2022 polaris boost 155 and Chloe is riding my 2022 Ski-Doo Freeride 154 Turbo

This was great!! Thanks, Chloe, for going out of your comfort zone (Again) and allowing Matt to record some of it. It's definitely frustrating, but we've all been there, even the Master guiding you had to start blind at one point. Keep up the excellent work, and try to enjoy your precious time together as a family!!

It´s really great that you and Chloe show that this sport is really for everybody and that you can have fun even though you can’t toss the snowmobile around like you pros. =) I am so happy my daughter already at 12 years are super into snowmobiling and these kinds of videos are really appreciated by many. Keep up the good work! Greetings from northern Sweden

Watched this video with the wife as part of our nightly routine and she made a comment about something you said, Matt, that I thought I'd point out. At the end of the video you mentioned that the ladies are always forced to ride with the guys and rarely get input from another female about what they're going through. I feel that having this understanding is a huge piece of the puzzle in having a successful time out riding with our significant others. It was awesome to hear that you acknowledged this and Chloe should rest assured knowing she is in great hands anytime you guys ride together! Side note, you make riding look incredibly easy, keep it up brother, I love watching these videos everyday.

I think most of us that have been riding for years in the back country take for granted that it is "sooooo easy". Thanks for the reminder of where we all started. Love the drone perspective as well. Good to see you took a break. Good job putting up with Matt teaching you as well Chloe.

My wife has been riding deep snow for the last few years. At first, it was frustrating for both of us. The stucks came, and they were often. Now she's no expert, but she always makes it to where I am going, but in her own way. Of course, we don't do anything crazy but I get to have my fun, and she now truly enjoys the adventure. Now, we're working on the kids being able to ride off trail. Thanks for showing us this video. Chloé you did great!

I am totally like you Matt I give her to much information and she get overwhelmed so I decided to start at the basics of throttle input to ride on top of the snow and that momentum is her friend and she's getting there. Keep up the great videos and tell Chloe that she's awesome ....one step at a time !!!

Jason’s wife here- loved your video for beginner females. Chloe did great and my advice for the teacher is to remember small females do not have the same strength as males so they can get much tireder trying to maneuver a big sled around. Hanging out at the cabin can be fun too. Ie make a great lunch, read a book, or even just sun tan, Loved the early start as well! My husband tells me all of the same things and I still don’t do what he can do,👍

love the drone, you get an upgrade so it follows you now? Chloe wants to be good for you, she doesn't want to fail because she understands how important mountain riding is to you. She just needs some time without any pressure to ride her ride. She rides her ride, not your ride or anyone elses, it is her ride and with time she will get more confident. Mountain riding is very intimidating coming from a guy from central WI who road mountains for the first time every in Feb 2021.

Chloe did awesome!! I was thinking the first time you took her out would have overwhelmed her lol. So I’m sure this was a lot better. Something you could try next time you two ride together that really worked for me. You ride in front in decent terrain and she follows you. Tell her to copy everything you do. If it’s steep on one side and you jump to the one side tell her to do the same. Just play follow the leader the first few times out. Or for as long as it takes. And always in complicated stuff at first. It is so much scarier being in the lead when you aren’t sure what to do yet. I even did it the first year tree riding. It made me feel safe and taught me a lot. Getting another girl to teach her how to carve and sidehill is a good idea. And I think all women overthink our moves too much. Tell her that’s normal lol. Tell her to learn at her own pace, and try not to get frustrated. It’s a big learning curve for a woman trying to fo it our way ☺️

It's always fascinated me watching new Riders (everyone was new at one point in time when they started but some people just make it look harder than it is way harder) they just for whatever reason no matter if they've ridden other stuff before or not ridden anything before other than driving a car or something like that but they all do the same thing they are all scared of giving it throttle for what ever reason, they always stop in weird places while they are making a run at something or not and/or tip over an get stuck in spots u normally would not get stuck in an they fight the balance so much that they tip everytime or just fall off going straigh on flat ground even tho snowmobiling is one of the easiest things to balance on cause the mechine does all the work (like anything i guess) plus ur in fluffy snow which feels like floating in a way but long story short they always do the same thing no matter who it is the pattern stays the same. First time i ever rode, it was a learning curve yes but wasnt as hard as most people make it look, i first rode a sled in like 97-98 and been riding ever sense i love snowmobiling yea its a 1 time a year type of thing (seasonal) but its the best time u will ever have every year but the leaning is the hardest part of learning to sled, when to lean how far to lean other than that its one of the easiest thing's to learn. Riding a dirtbike is harder than a snowmobile.
