@@MuskratOutdoors yeah I got a couple boar raccoons the other day. Short of that not much. Really only trap in the spring for beaver now. Animals aren’t worth much and there are so many people that mess with your traps or worse. Cages cost 10 times what foothold or body grips do. So the sting is higher when they go missing. One good beaver cage is 200$.think of what it takes to brake even. In the spring no one goes out and the castor is worth more. Hunters abound now till Jan 1. Springtime I do pretty well.

@@MuskratOutdoors the area I live in North Dakota usually gets between 2-4 feet Sir. We just got a couple inches along with 40+mph winds as the first snow of the season Mr. Muskrat. Good Morning! It works great! In really rocky ground, it might need a pilot hole with a piece of rebar, but it makes setting them fast and easy. Looks like it's snowing about a mile away....it will be here soon. Great on that fisher. I blasted a skunk after the chickens about the time the truck broke. It sprayed, but there might be some left. I still have it, it been cold enough. I was going to skin it, but with the truck work I haven't had time. Probably too late now. A raccoon too, but it's small and not good fur. I hate wasting them, but I don't think it would pay to skin it. It won't eat any more chickens, so there's that....Anyway, have a great day!

Good mornin and many blessings. About 40 yrs ago I was riding my sister in law's horse and found a dog in a trap. I called the Colorado division of wildlife to help me get it out. When they came out they told me I could keep the trap because it wasn't legal. And the dog had a collar on . The trap and the collar had tag's so they were going to give both the Trapper and the Dog owner tickets. The Trapper for Trapping out of season and the Dog owner for Dog at large. I still have the trap. Good luck this season Gary.
@MuskratOutdoors20 күн бұрын
Good Morning! Yeah, that's the kind of thing that makes trappers look bad. Most of us try hard to do the right thing, but the "bad apples" do ruin it. Dogs are my biggest worry. Around here, hunting hounds are really popular in all of the places I trap. Also, until Christmas is over, there is a lot of people out getting trees and all of them seem to have dogs along. I would really hate to ruin some kid's good memories of going out getting a Christmas tree by catching their dog.
