Good morning! Nice explanation. For those of us not very familiar with traps, that's mighty useful information. Always gonna be folks who know how to do it a different way. Anyone who says you're doing it wrong obviously hasn't watched your successful traps. Trapping is just like fishing. Location, rig , bait etc all have to be ideal for each situation to be successful. The better you know your area and the habits of your local creatures, the better you'll be at the game.

Dont misunderstand, he, and the family have the means! Just strrugglin over which one s of his five brothers, his sons, and nephews is gonna jam into an airplane an head to Ol' Miss to bring 'em home. Other than that, went out to move the car trailer that I had a few thousand dollars worth of lumber left over from the new house sorted, stacked, covered, lashed and attached to the old Ferd. Cover had been opened up, and someone had helped themselves to some of the very nice 12 foot 2x6"s that were gonna frame my little shop. Well, hells bells. I s'pose now, someone will tell me there aint no Santy Claus nor Easter Bunny!!! Take er easy, God Bless, tell someone ya love em before ya can't!

@MuskratOutdoorsКүн бұрын
They do make a MB-750 Beaver trap too. It's the same trap, but with unlaminated jaws and lighter springs. Very good traps if you have any beaver to trap. They actually are a pretty good coyote trap too, but bigger than they need to be for them.
@marytorres59162 күн бұрын
You're so right. It doesn't matter how you do something as long as the outcome is what you're aiming for. For some strange reason people seem to think their way is the best and only way. LoL to that I say! 🤣. Did you name the wild honker?
@MuskratOutdoorsКүн бұрын
Yeah, I don't understand people like that? Not just with the trapping either. He had nasty comments about the truck and the snow dog too. Criticism is fine, if I can learn something, GREAT! But being nasty gets old fast. We didn't think that goose would stay, so we didn't really name him.....we call him either Goose, Goose, or just Goose. We had another one once that had "Angel Wings". It's weird, the wings are upside down and don't fold in right. Look it up if you have time, it's kind of interesting. His name was Hank.

True. Strangely enough, 50/50 water, antifreeze freezes at a lower temp that straight antifreeze. It seems like water in it would freeze faster, but it doesn't. My heater doesn't get that hot though, might need some cardboard in front of the radiator if it gets real cold.
