“How does explaining something scientifically, take away the need for something to have caused it?” Such a good point to ponder upon for all our atheist brothers and sisters.

I loved this point so much! When we see a building, we know that there are certain steps behind its construction, but we also know that - without a doubt - the building *must* have an architect. Intelligent design requires an intelligent designer. I hadn’t even thought about how intelligent the design of DNA is, and DNA is only *one* piece of the world around us. There must be an Intelligent Force behind it all!

This series is by far the best on youtube. It’s so fascinating to see the reactions of people. Some who are uninterested, some who are intrigued and others who are opposing. What a blessing of a life it is to have such conversations. Islam isn’t religion VS science. it’s religion explaining science. for those who are in doubt, just read the Quran.

This is precisely the case. People think that religion is unscientific, but the Holy Qur'an inspired a whole generation of scientists to explore science!

When he’s speaking to the guy on the bench, I love that he used the same arguments atheists always use: let’s stick to empirical evidence. If science tells us that the universe began 13.8 billion years ago, and we *know* that that’s nowhere near enough time for DNA to have naturally evolved, then it only makes sense that there was divine intervention from an Intellectual Designer. Otherwise, there’s no way that such an intelligent design could’ve “naturally” evolved (all by itself, with no designer) in only 13.8 billion years.

I loved that example too! No one would claim that a building had no architect. It’s obvious that every building *must* have an architect because every intelligent design stems from an intelligent designer. Which design is more intelligent: a building, or our cosmos? Surely, then, our universe has an Intelligence Force behind it, who we call God.

I especially loved the second discussion! The Muslim speaker raised a point that I’ve pondered over before but struggled to articulate until now: how does explaining the steps of something’s construction take away the need for intelligence to have designed and caused it? When we see a building, we know that it had an architect. We may not know who the architect is, but we understand that such structures cannot come to exist without an intelligent force behind them. What is more complex: a mere building, or the cosmos? If the answer is the cosmos, then we know that our universe must have a Creator.

I’m grateful that #TheExistenceProject is initiating these extremely important discussions about why we believe what we believe. I admire that he did not only question the atheists on their views but, rather, he also asked the believers to justify their viewpoints. He pushed the believers to dig deep and present their arguments for why they believe in God. I’m also learning so many new arguments in favor of God’s existence! 🙌🏾

Right! The chances that our universe is able to function in the way that it does *without an intelligent architect* are sooo slim. That doesn’t constitute proof that God exists, but it certainly means that 1) it takes way more faith to be an atheist than to be a believer, because the odds that the universe had no Intelligent Creator are so astronomically low, and 2) we should all personally *INVESTIGATE* the question of whether God exists! 🙌🏾

This video serves as compelling evidence of society's openness to rationality, juxtaposing it with the unfortunate misrepresentation of God by religious followers, which has done a disservice to the portrayal of God.

Yes! Many people become atheist because of how religion has been misrepresented by the people in their lives. But when we understand God’s religion in its original pure form (without man-made changes), then we see its true beauty.

Amazing that they are so deeply tying it to the sciences and what can actually be deduced and concluded rather than simply saying “believe.” In our limited years of research into the cosmos of space, we’ve discovered how challenging it actually is to establish the Goldie Lox zone in space where life can actually flourish and sustain.

I pray that God strengthens The Existence Project so that the message of His existence may be spread all over the world, Ameen summa ameen. 🙏🏾 I love that I can share these videos with my friends of all faiths (also those who are atheist or agnostic), because the Muslim speaker is respectful of different people’s views and beliefs. The speaker does not try to offend others, like I’ve seen in so many other debates online. Rather, he engages others in a respectful, loving way. This is what Islam teaches. “Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and argue with them *in a way that is best.* Surely, thy Lord knows best who has strayed from His way; and He knows those who are rightly guided.” (Holy Qur’an, 16:126) May we all be able to spread His message in the best manner, Ameen summa ameen! 🙏🏾

To think that the word God is a sign of arrogance in God - God Forbid - is the lack of knowledge about God Himself. When you really start to study God, you soon realize that it's arrogant on - our - part to think that we know enough to define Him as such.
@zaynkarim841

I think that some people do not like the word “God” because of the things that they have been taught to associate with it. For example, some people were raised to believe in a tyrannical “God” who punishes us with eternal hell. For a person who has been raised to believe in such versions of “God,” they may become fearful of the term. I love that The Existence Project is helping people learn about who God *truly* is. Islam presents a concept of God wherein His mercy encompasses all things, and He is oft-returning with compassion. Islam does not believe that hell is eternal. (Rather, Islam teaches that it is a temporary hospital for the soul.) I wish that more people knew that, in the *very first* verse of the Holy Qur’an, God Almighty says that He is the Most Gracious and Most Merciful. That is who God is.

I remember this one point of The Fourth Caliph (rh) that he said that he wanted to understand God entirely. And he kept making this prayer. Then he saw an ant, and he pondered over the fact that he could encompass the whole world of the ant, but the could never come close to understanding the human. So this made him understand the gap between him and God.

The theory that there can be infinite universes with less perfection than our reality is more widely known and accepted than the fact that with a time limit of 13.8billion years from BB there’s not nearly enough time to coincidentally create said perfect universe.

Yes, and it is so unfortunate that the one with so little empirical evidence is the one that’s taken with the greatest sense of acceptance. This aligns with the hosts larger point, that atheists, rely and change, based on their desire, not for the sense of seeking the truth.
@TariqMahmood-qs5wx
@TariqMahmood-qs5wx 2 ай бұрын
Of course that is true, the atheists need to ascribe some sort of infinitude. Previosuly, they tried very hard to prove that the universe was infinite in time. Now, through the multiverse theory, they strive to create an infinite amount of space, in essence. But there are several areas where the multiverse theory falls apart. Firstly, there is no empirical proof for it, not even in the slightest. It remains as speculative as the possibility of a marvel cinematic universe existing in real life (altho in infinite realities, one would have to be a universe with all these characters actually coming into existence). But as Antony Flew once said, it is utterly foolish to explain away the existence of one thing by postulating an infinite more things. Indeed, if the atheist struggles with the concept of an infinite God, then he or she just ascribes infinitude to their own God. Furthermore, we see that in this multiverse theory, there would have to be an infinite amount of energy for it to create an infinite amount of universes. The only difference, is that the mutliverse theory removes the designing aspect of God. However this, in my opinion, flies in the face of everything we understand within our human experience, namely if there is design, then there is to be a designer. When we see anything, we don't postulate an infinite number of mistakes leading to that thing. IF we see a chair, we don't see an infinite number of mistakes that lead to such a chair. Just some humble thoughts on why I find the Multiverse theory foolish, or incorrect at the very least.
@zaynkarim841
@zaynkarim841 2 ай бұрын
I love that the Muslim speaker very respectfully reminded the atheist to remain in the realm of empirical evidence. Atheists often say that our universe is just 1 out of many universes (trying to imply that perhaps our universe is just a coincidence, and that other universes aren’t as well put-together as ours) but there is quite literally no evidence for other universes existing. Atheists claim there is no empirical proof for God, but there is not a shred of evidence for a multiverse. So let’s stick to what we can actually experience and observe! 🙌🏾

Many people ended up being atheists mostly due to the church that couldn't provide rational answers and resort to the magical word "just believe, Jesus died for your sins" What I've noticed in the western world is proving this point. (NO OFFENSE, please)

The whole game is that a concious being will know another concious being. Since concious beings (humans) can construct things from unconcious material and combine them togather so that they work to serve a function in a harmonious way. Now when we see things in nature which are built from atoms and are designed and works in a perfect way proves from the inference of empirical observation of intelligent humans designing things that things in nature is design of an intelligent designer.
