I was born into a Muslim family, and at around age 15, I realized I was being brainwashed. I pretended to "pray" due to fear of being lashed out by my family. There was no physical consequence in showing my family I didn't care about the religion it was mostly mental abuse. "You're going to burn in the fiery depths of hell if you don't recite these words 5 times a day" I would be told by family members (loosely translated from Arabic). Happy to say as a 30-year-old man I've since abolished the religion and any idea of it.

From my understanding of history regarding Muhammad is that he went into a cave, an Angel came before him and told him to write the Quran. When Muhammad left the cave, it was written that he was terrified from this encounter. If God sends an Angel before a person, there is no way the person would be terrified, but more in awe of what they are seeing and would feel at peace. Therefore, the only "Angel" that would produce terror into a person would be a Demon or more likely Satan himself. If this is the case, the Quran are words \ ideas that are spawn from a Demon. Muhammad was at the very least, deceived.
