I honestly think that muslims dont understand the bible for a reason. Im an ex-muslim, and many times you have to take the quran literally. While the bible, the new testament Jesus uses a lot of metaphors in the material world for us to understand the depth of the philosophical and spiritual issues. Of course we Cristians understand that the sword means, you will be seperated with your closest and love ones in the sake of believeing in Jesus. I have read both the Quran and the bible and the way both books are done are very different. It could be good to explain this point to muslims so they dont misunderstand this. Please be patient, at the end of the day we want to guide them towards christ. P.S. I know that wasn't your question, but it could be good to clarify, people with rage will be blinded to the truth.
