Love and affection between husband and wife is strictly a private matter, and the Islamic "hijab" is not only what you wear but how you act and present yourself when in public. Where most people in the modern world care kittle about modesty and chastity, it is seen as out of this world to uphold them. But it is your own desires and whims that are wrong, as we Muslims follow what God says full stop without altering it to suit our own desires.
