Best protection is to know islaam your self! He is right sister, as a convert from Christianity to Islaam I jumped right in and took information from a weak source not incorrect source but a weak source . I did my research and eventually found out alot of thing that if I studied on my own with the help of true scholars men or women of knowledge I would be 8 years down the line rediscovering Islam. Alhamduilliah, most people don't find their way home. So sister yes I encourage you all to study from the time islaam enters your heart! May Allah protect your strong hold to islaam!

Marcia Artherholt if you have children, do you put parameters around them? I know my mother gave plenty of parameters only because she loved me. And where she tried to "give me freedom" I learned some lessons the hard way. But just like Islam, Allah can only guide and direct. Women (and men) have a choice.

There are parameters not only for woman but also for men...And some are for both some are for only females and some for only males....
