The nightly routine listed below has helped me immensely After the isha prayer I do the nightly recitation on the Quranly app every single night which consists of surah mulk , ayat kursi , the 3 quls and the last 2 verses of surah baqarah ! Most night I fall asleep by either listening to the Quran or an Islamic lecture after finishing my nightly recitation ! Hope this helps 🤲

As soon as my head hits the pillow “Boom” I start over analysing my life, past and future. I start questioning everything that has happened etc. In terms of overthinking, I have the tendency to create situations and scenarios in my head and attach feeling and emotions to them as if it’s actually happening when it’s not. I go through fazes of this, I do try and be positive but that can be challenging at times. This video has been extremely helpful, I shall try and apply this to my life and circumstances. Thanks ♥️ x

As soon as I go to bed I’ll try to fall asleep for about 10 minutes before my brain just starts thinking. Finances, recent decisions, life choices. Anything and everything will go through my mind and it’s just an exhausting battle to overcome. I have used the “throw a thought out” approach and it does work but then I find myself wide awake and unable to sleep. It’s hard to find that balance in the middle.

So sorry about this but the captions in the video gave me a headache, it was too fast and going word by word. KZbin already has a captions option where is more structured in sentences rather than word by word

Assalam Waalaikum Hana. Just a suggestion: I feel the really big subtitles you used in this video are a bit too much. Your videos have a great vibe and I feel they take away from that. I know they are beneficial but I feel they should be sized down and the font should be different.

Assalamu Alaykum! I am a brother with Borderline Personality Disorder and ADHD, so I often watch your videos because you give great mental health advice from an Islamic perspective. I really appreciated your advice to perform breathing-techniques w/ Nafl prayers. AlHamdulillah, I always felt called to perform these prayers when I am feel very anxious and am ruminating, but your explanation of the science behind it is very empowering and validating. Dhikr is another Islamic practice I use to control my overthinking. Reciting phrases either silently or quietly throughout my day, and incorporating breathing with it help me somewhat. The practice that I am very interested in is the lily pad technique. I ask Allah that I can remember this technique and incorporate it into my everyday life.

Wa alaikum asalam! JAK! These tactics also help with BPD as emotional regulation techniques are essential for this! I’m happy it helped

Assalamu alykum brother, may Allah make it easy for you. I also went through kind of similar issues since from childhood until recently I started doing a lot of Istighfars and alhamdulillah my overthinking and mental issues are resolving. Idk but this is the first time in my life I really feel at ease. You may include it in your daily Dzikr as well plus the said techniques. Jazakallahu khairan

Jazakum Allahu Khaer Hana on everything you do I look forward to and truly need these videos, I been struggling with anxiety and waswas these past two years and been struggling to try to remain sincere to Allah (SWT) without trying to have my thoughts dictate my actions sometimes it can be difficult especially when doubts from OCD occur and when the anxiety swells up in the chest but alhamdulilah I’m trying to remain strong and consisted with my duas inshaAllah it gets better! My only question is how can I have that internal strength within when my body / mind feel fatigued from the test that I’m going through? How do I maintain that strong connection to Allah even when I feel so distant from Him (SWT)

i dealt with very challenging OCD too! Hang in there, after therapy and help from Allah i got much better. But i totally recommend therapy, it helps you deal with the waswas and detaching from it. Allah wants us to seek healing and treatment, so don’t forget to seek it!
