Clearly, those Islamic men say that you can pray to Allah in your own language. But the practice of reciting in the ancient language the holy book originated in is a wonderful tradition. Just because you have left the authentic traditions of the Church, doesn't mean other religion's have to as well. I do not know if you are Catholic Christian, but, in the catholic church, there is the practice to recite and chant in LATIN. Because that is the language of the church. Not all understand, but translations exist, and there are many opportunities to become educated.

❤A month back, In Pakistan, Lahore if I remember correctly, a lady was wearing a large jacket or cover with Arabic words, one of which was read as Halwa. Someone read it and started shouting that it was an insult to the Prophet and screamed that she punished. A crowd soon collected calling for removal of her clothes. Soon, if a brave policewoman had not rushed and escorted her out from the crowd, she would have been lynched and burn’t.A person who understood Arabic turned up and explained the word had no connection with the Mohammad. It was an innocuous word (I forget the meaning given). Now, after seeing this video I have come to know that Quran is NOT understood by many Non-Arabic Muslims because it is recited ONLY in Arabic! So in India too, there will be thousands of Madarsa Muslims who do not know Arabic but are devout followers without having personally understood it. 😮
