It sure is funny looking at how it took 4 games to grant YingLong or in japanese dubbin Oryu eternal peace. In three Warriors Orochi game he was sent to prison. Warriors Orochi 4 - Orochi is finally killed, and Ying Long's past self for a short time takes over. He thanks Fu Xi and Susano'o with a faint smile for giving him a worthy end. To die at the hands of his friends knowing full well they killed him to save his soul from eternal torment.

No, you either carry over everything or nothing at all. Not sure why you wouldn't want to get to the new stuff right away, though.
