I've been a subscriber for awhile now. Don't get here too often though. But this one I really appreciated and is going to get me looking at some others. I will be trying this idea in HO. I remember those cans from when I was a kid. Trash guys were really hard on them and they had all kinds of dents and a bit of weathering with just about anything would be good.

Good video. I like the content in your videos like it is. The parts I most like about model railroading are benchwork building, scenery work like plaster rock carving and ground covering, hand making trees and bushes, making details from scratch like the trashcans in this video, and adding details, whether bought or made; to the layout, then too some different things here and there for a change from the same type content continuously. So basically I like your content like it is already I guess. If I've subscribed to someone's channel then to me they're doing good, interesting videos that keep my attention while enjoyably teaching me something at the same time. Stay well. -Wil 👍

@@muss1951 I'll keep my eyes peeled! You never go wrong with a Harley or 2 in your layout!

Would like to see some of your painting and weathering techniques.
@muss19513 жыл бұрын
weathering for me can be done by just adding grays browns and blacks useing the dry brush method seems to cover most items, thx for your feedback
@muss19513 жыл бұрын
I cant say that that is my best subject because I practice weathering when ever I can and Iam not sure I have anything special to show you. I just start painting and I do a lot of the leopard technique in colors that may or may not match and mess with it a while and see how it looks, if it doesnt look good Ill shoot with cover color and start over Thx

Love it. I’d like to see more content regarding the trains themselves.
@muss19513 жыл бұрын
can you be more specific, right now my track isnt set up to run trains thats the last thing I do is run trains with the scenerey and all is what I like to do . My previous layout never ran a train on it built it finished it and tore it down to start a new one

That's a neat and cheap idea thanks

I like the idea but i have (maybe) a suggestion. Use a scrap piece of pvc 3/4" in dia. , then use your 'tin roof' technic to glue the foil around the outside of it just to give it a little weight...there are a lot of ways to try out... Just a thought....

Man oh man what’s not to like about your layout or your videos. I use to fret over what I thought were mistakes till I learned your reference to them as adding character. Now any project I do that has an oops I just say it adds character.
@muss19513 жыл бұрын
there you go character, its what its all about, thx for your reply

I’d like to see simple water details. I saw many years ago someone used aluminum foil to make a river. I can’t find anything on that. Nobody has made a video on using foil as water.
@muss19513 жыл бұрын
I have never seen tin foil water I use real water or clear silicone for my water scenes, thx for your feedback

I remember you making a comment once that you were going to create a fire scene on the layout once. Any chance you can give ideas of what you were thinking?
@muss19513 жыл бұрын
I did make a video of that and how it turned out, I dont remember the video no. but if you look up ub railroad.com its in the list . Thx
