Musselwhite: Positioning a historic operation for future success

Mark Kiessling, General Manager of Newmont Musselwhite Mine discusses highlights of the mine's history and future plans. Musselwhite Mine has celebrated over 25 years in operation. Since 2019 the mine has undergone significant operational improvements and modernization that will position the operation for future success. Newmont is the number 1 gold producer in the world. Last year the mine and surrounding communities were connected to the Watay power line to remove reliance on diesel-powered electric generation.
