Mussorgsky is not hearing Persian modes, notional , popular intonations, even persons not recognized the melodic line, (I have many Persian friend’s) . It’s sounds Arminian! Arminian basic song’s . If you lesson Aram Khachaturyan (specially Adagio) you will now. I’m Just trying to explicitly say trust. Personally I love Mussorgsky’s music. I love and respect Russian five. Let them persian’s creat there own classic music. In 19 century Armenian did not have a government, who? Will now if he named Armenian dance. But Armenian’s have 8,000 yer history. Thank you!
