@ArkayusK A great thing about X4. Hate landing? Upgrade your ship with a docking computer! Never worry about it again! You can be going full speed into a landing pad, and the computer will take over and land you safely. It's not for everybody, though!

@efxnews47762 ай бұрын
@@Hexxonomicon you didn't even upgrade your docking computer and decide that X4 is a bad game because of that? Probably didn't even play the game for more than 5 hours... X4 isn't the type of game where, you play for a couple of hours and will know everything that there is to know about it. I have 5000 hours in X4 and there's still some stuff that i don't know in the game. Heck 5 hours is the time it takes for just a hacking attack on one of your space stations (and yes you can do that too) be lifted. Maybe you should give a second chance to X4, i know some people that only got it after a third attempt. And be patient,X4 is a game that depends more of your dedication in playing than on skill itself ( you will see the game unfolds in front of you accordingly on how you act, the game has a steep learning curve, and takes a long time to master even how to pilot your ship, and here comes more about skill than upgrades, upgrades help, but mostly is all you, is you that makes the difference 99% of the time in X4. So take that as a challenge, it wasn't X4 that failed you, it was you who failed X4

Excellent group of some of the best space games. I’ve played several of these and a few I haven’t. I have played a couple older titles I just keep going back to: Starpoint Gemini 2 and Starpoint Gemini warlords. Both open world space games that check all the boxes in space games. Both games offering open world and story modes. Both offer a long list of space fairing jobs, combat, exploration, and the ability capture any ship and fly any ship in the game you add to your fleet. Starpoint Gemini Warlords takes all the afore mentioned, and adds a fully understandable strategy game of conquest, or peaceful diplomacy however you want to play it. Build an empire, build fleets of ships any of you can fly. And of course there is a galactic bad guy you all need to defeat at the same time. Such excellent space games!
@easilydistractedgamesАй бұрын
Thanks for mentioning these! I'll look out for them soon. I also made a newer video to cover space games that I might have missed, might help too!
@notsure22112 ай бұрын
I can answer only for the titles I got and have plaid: №12 - ED -> the only thing that lures people in is the 1:1 ratio galaxy, but there is a big BUT. Combat is best experienced with a capable HOTAS set (1~2 sticks, throttle control, pedals). With a mouse and keyboard works, but some things are missing. Then you have the repetitive worlds and the "Odyssey" DLC that feel just like the early dev stages of "No Man's Sky" (when that one was crap). Your Internet better be above 250 Mbps. №7 - Stellaris -> is a GS game in which the AI cheats on every level. Best plaid as a PvP game. All you need are 4 things: a/ the BASE game; b/ a FRIEND who has all DLC content; c/ MODS; d/ a minimum of 6x6 CPU, 24+ RAM, 6+ GPU and an m.2 drive. This is a Paradox game after all. №5 - SE -> you need all the DLCs for one reason - PARTS/blocks to build with and have fun. Almost all games are PvP with severe limitations. Best experienced in Singleplayer. Your PC better be a high-end one as this game demands a such, even in 1080p. №4 - Avorion -> GET the DLCs for the extra goodies. It is a great game overall, but to experience the full capabilities of the adventure you need mods and ship designs. You will find plenty great ones like the "HerehTurrets" and "DENEB" set (these compliment each other). For max visuals and dissent fps (80+) you need a serious PC as if made for either "No Man's Sky" or "X4". №2 - No Man's Sky is the GAME for those that love to explore, mine, craft and fight AI and pirates. The journey as a hole is amazing. The system requirements are wrong on the Steam webpage and never got updated, even after the graphics update. №1 - X4 -> is not 15$, the cost is higher - store.steampowered.com/bundle/30502/X4_Community_of_Planets_Edition_2024/. Is it worth the money? Yes, it is. Is it hard to learn? You need time. Is it hard to master? Yep.

Outer Worlds is fun, but not much else from that, if you want a few hours of nice and fun gameplay, this is a decent game for that. Ixion i never played maybe i should try some day. Space Engine, i have Universe sandbox wich is basically the same with better graphics. It's a tool for astronomers and as such I don't consider a game, but a program. Everspace 2, i play the demo and frankly didn't like to much, but I did play the first game and love the universe, the funny thing about that game is that the roguelike mechanic is trully is connected to the plot of the game and the sequece be an actual open world indeed makes sense too.

I have far too much time in Stellaris, one of my favorite Grand Strategy Games (Of the 4x variety). Yes, Stellaris has DLC, however, you can get all of the DLC with a rather cheap per month subscription, unlocking ALL current AND future DLC. Also, if you enjoy amazing music soundtracks, this game is also for you. You have been listening to some of the Stellaris Original Sound Track (OST). Another bonus, if you have friends who like strategy games, only one needs access to the DLC, as whoever hosts a multiplayer game shares all of their DLC. Last but not least, Stellaris has a near infinite number of replayability on its own, not to mention the ENDLESS mods from its modding community.
