Thanks Sapna. Very informative and beautifully presented. I find your style very convincing. It puts in great amount of energy in everyone simply watching your video or listening to what you share. Thanks to dad being in the Army we have seen the remotest of the towns some of them being Ammunition Depots FOD’s and FAD’s, that are not well marked on the map . We lived close to the nature in different parts of our land to have amassed varied experiences. So experiential learning was part of our growing up even when the concept as such was not in vogue. Your emphasis in learning by doing really is really going to contribute to learning for life.We need students who can put into practice was they learn within the walls of school. Experiential learning will provide them a real connect in learning that comes before the book , in the book and after the book.

Meaningful learning is a generative process of representing and manipulating concrete things and mental representations, rather than storage and retrieval of information. (NCF-2005) There are many educationalist & psychologist reflect the concept of "Experiential learning" 1. David Kolb 2. John Dewey 3. Jerome Bruner 4. Jean Piaget 5. Edger Dale Cone of learning 6. Kurt Lewin "Experiential learning" model: Lesson plan Subject: Science Class: VIII Topic: State of matter Time required: 5 days Step:1 Expressing Notion Collect different types of material from around Step:2 Exploring and Researching Students gather information from books, internet and teachers Step:3 Creation Making models, Chart paper & power point presentation etc. Step:4 Reflecting on learning experience Student explain how to classify matter according to their properties? Are any new discovery related to matter?
