Wow. Awesome video. You hit on a lot of important points. We will definitely be implementing what you shared in this video. I definitely need to clearly outline how i want things to play out for me if im ever at an end of life moment. There was a lot of unknowns happening while i was incapacitated. Hope to finalize something we can follow by this weekend. For each of our family members. Ill post and share this video when i wake up. Critical info. Thanks for sharing

Thank you Malika! A critically informative video. Cortess’s video was extremely scary….these papers and arrangements should be discussed and documents addressed in the planning packets when one is planning scouting or moving overseas. Great video.

Thanks Greta and I agree that relocation specialists may want to mention documents like these in their services. People don’t like to think about the bad things but pre-planning is necessary.

Thank you! I love your content. Very informative and inspiring. I am planning to move to Panama with my mom and husband later this year. This is great information and much needed for our journey abroad. Because of your videos one of our travel bucket list destinations will be Conkal. Keep doing what you are doing.

Thanks for covering this topic. It's very important. What do you do if you live alone in Mexico? I'll be there in a month and would like to develop a plan. Thanks

Thank you ! I would have those documents done in the US and then again here. There is a lot of red tape to have the US document acknowledged here. Document your emergency contacts, keep them on the fridge and in your Health app if you have an iPhone . Have a list of your medical diagnosis and medications on hand( if applicable ). Make friends here so you can have at least one person that you can hopefully trust, even if it is with nothing more than contacting family for you or helping out if you’re sick.

@@malikahonthemove Thank you! I also plan on getting a medical alert bracelet with my doctor's contact info on it.

Malika well thought out presentation. September in Mexico is noted as Will Month where your Notario or attorney offers a significant discount to get your documents in order. Although, as you mentioned it is so important to get your affairs in order as soon as possible. We never know what or when a life threatening emergency might happen. As a retired Respiratory Care Practitioner I too have been in the middle of family members either not knowing their loved one’s wishes or watched while control or greed takes over ending up in really ugly situations. Thank you again for this video. I will make sure we get our Will done in Mexico as well. I can’t remember the cost however I know it wasn’t expensive to have this done.

Very important and SO much appreciated! Am half way through, and not sure if there is a Do Not Resusitate option in MX - ?? Ok, am hearing ‘die with dignity’ now . . . So they have it, even with a predominantly Catholic country. (I am very single, no family to speak of whatsoever . . . Which is always stunning to Mexicans - who are always befuddled by our messed up family ‘dynamics’ for too many of us in the US). So, I have to find a rep, when I’m in MX?? I need to find a very good friend fast down there . . . Which will be a lot easier than finding one here In Seattle, where real friends are few and far between (meaning the kind who are there when you’re in need).

They look puzzled at me as well when I state I am here alone and with no family . My advice for friends here is to find someone who is putting down roots ( home purchase etc) . Otherwise people are too transient and friendships are very superficial and fleeting.
