Hello Dr. Nancy, this video is pretty helpful for me to update the resume with PM-related keywords. Especially how you divided them into three buckets. I'm a startup cofounder and now trying to get into PM roles at top companies. Though I think I have PM experience, it is all informal while building and scaling up my startup. I'd appreciate your time to discuss a little more on that. I know you're quite busy, so if you can't make the time, I completely understand. Thanks again for the videos!

Thanks 🙏 One request, I am a TPM in an Edtech company and feel like I am stuck doing only execution stuff. How can I showcase my execution experience in my resume so that it doesn’t sound mundane. Not sure if this topic is enough in itself to warrant an entire video on it but I would appreciate any help! Also, I know recruiters reach out to candidates that they deem fit for their roles all the time. I have always wondered why do recruiters never reach out to me? My LinkedIn profile looks decent to me. I don’t want to put my entire resume at display on linked. And I think my linked looks decent.Yet, I have never been reached or to. What’s the secret sauce?

Great information... Thanks. Can you suggest about certifications needed to land in career as PM?
@DrNancyLi4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sarang, I don’t think certification is required. Some of my students got a PM certification from product school, but still couldn’t get a job. So they came to me. Almost All my students who got a PM job don’t have a certification. It matters how you build a product portfolio and package your prior experience. Make sure to check out my product portfolio video.

Hi Nancy, been following you for a while. Question: have you found most of your jobs by networking or by applying to jobs with 200+ candidates? Just saying because I think I am going to stick to 100% networking, when employers recruit, they assess me against a criteria, it becomes almost impossible.
